I haven't received the email (yet). For those that did, had you received any other emails from CrownBet since redeeming the points?

I got "Foxtel has arrived!" a couple of days ago and near the top it has "USERNAME: VELOCITY", though the body of the email addresses me by name. The monthly rewards statement at the start of May also has "Username: velocity" near the top.

Whereas "You have successfully redeemed your Points" in March had no username field.

Now just have to wait and see if the Points are removed in foreseeable future due to " Breachof Ts n Cs" or some other condition.

I wouldn't be bothered in the slightest if they closed the account. I'd be prepared for an argument if they try anything with the points.
 
Got my (our) email as well. As long as I don't get one of these from any of the credit card companies its all good. The bonus points were a sure thing. Any other betting not so much.
 
I too got the email, doesn't bother me one single bit! I did place a few bets on the account but whatever floats their boat :)

That's really strange!

My my husband got one too (only activity on his account was the bonus points which were quickly transferred out). I haven't received one, but I signed up via a previous promotion (and have probably used it twice)
 
I got one too and had a quick punt at the start. Didn't like he app and never used it again since. Will close the account now.
 
Got mine yesterday and replied asking why I was restricted because I've never used the account but feel free to close anyway - they replied a few minutes later with account closed :p

But haven't received cancellation notification for one of our accounts.

Same here too. Given my support they gave me a generic spiel rather than answered my question, you can guess how I rated their support.

Me too. I told them they needed to tell me why they suspended my account.
 
This has been going perfectly since the initial 1pt loss in the first game. They had another 2 eligible games the following round (both won) before stopping the promo. It returned the last two weekends with 3 games which all won as well. Currently well above $$ expectation but yet to get a blowout so am below points expectation.

Currently $37 ahead and have earned 6,900 CrownBet points. All have been transferred to Velocity for a total of 3,450pts + the current 15% bonus (517pts).

I got my letter today I replied back asking why to be told they don't have to give a reason. I then suggested they close my account - they suggested I call the 1300 number.

Mrs GSP didn't get her letter as only registered last week, but a hiccup in the Velocity points transfer process required a phone call to complete it. She got the interrogation of motivation for setting up the account and was made to feel like an exception was made to complete the transfer.

I guess Crown with their questionable approach in taking advantage of vulnerable members don't like being taking advantage of themselves.
 
Got my email the other day about how I was no longer going to earn rewards points. Seems like they identified everyone who just signed up and then transferred out to Virgin and decided to block them.
I also got the email about a rating there support, I was going to click on it and say "why did you close my account, I was going to launder $10,000, but thought better of it, they would probably have passed it only the authorities"

All in all, no big deal, I already have a couple of betting accounts, which I only use a couple of times a year
 
I too got the email. Didn't actually notice it at first as I simply trashed it based on who it was from but a day later I received the "comment on service" email and I thought to myself, what service? Then I saw and just assumed they were targeting everyone.

Serves them right if they can't write T&C properly.
