It took about five minutes for me this morning - but as a few people have mentioned it's only 2,500 points now.
I didn't get the 12.5% offer, and doing the transfer it's just 2:1. 1250 velocity points is worth around $10 - marginal for ten minutes work.

I have been banned from taking these sorts of promotions with another well known bookmaker. Try putting some money in and ONLY betting on these sorts of promotions. I guarantee you will be stopped from doing so before too long.

This is not true either. Plenty of people come out ahead from gambling which is why companies like this end up banning them. It is all about expectation and the expectation is that over time the value of points won is going to be more than the dollars lost.

Many people would also say that encouraging people to open credit cards to gain points is also reckless as it potentially exposes people to debt problems so I wouldn't get on your high horse on a forum like this. I appreciate that gambling is not everyone's cup of tea and in that case you are free to choose to ignore my advice.​

This is absolutely spot on. Bookmakers also have no hesitation restricting bet stakes or even closing accounts of successful punters. As for those who clearly have a problem, they're happy to bank as much profit as possible. It is not a good industry at all - a little surprised to see VFF jump in bed with Crown.
