Free ALL Gold Status for QF Silver or above - also Points Club Plus

Also received offer & accepted.
If I book I will call & request an upgraded room then & there, otherwise, not interested. Since it's only worthwhile perk.

I have several existing bookings, including in Melbourne on Sunday night. The upgrade probably won't be through by then. It will be nice for the future bookings though, as well as the late checkout. I wonder if they will upgrade my "free night" room at Sofitel Darling Harbour?

For me, it is actually a good incentive to migrate myself across from IHG to ALL.
I'm doing the 15 day to diamond IHG status challenge and have no plans to change with the free ALL gold. Is there a reason you prefer ALL?

I've got an upcoming trip to Auckland in a few weeks. I'm kind of hoping i get upgraded from City view to Harbour view :-)

Assuming you booked direct, you might be able to see upgrades given in the app before you arrive. I think I noticed mine a week or so out from my stay in SIN this week.

Just be careful with fingers. The “Cancel” button is on the same page and there isn’t an “Are you sure?” step.

Also got offer. Thanks Qantas / Accor.

Now to see which AFF gets upgrades first!

It said in the next couple of weeks…

I did book direct. I obviously haven't got the gold status yet. But i'll check it next week or so.

Yes. Better then Amex Platinum which only gives you Silver. Have signed up.
and Accor Plus (gives Silver). Although, I received a QBR related offer for A+, 10k pts and ALL Gold if I sign up by 31Jul - but I’m already Gold.

For those who don’t qualify and are getting FOMO, you can buy Gold for €90 per year via Ibis Business.

I’ve found in the past that the Gold status can linger on well past the Ibis Biz subscription has expired.

Two places I will likely be traveling (regional centres) have ALL properties and are nowhere near HH, IHG, Marriott etc. properties. So while ALL is not my primary hotel program, its a good option for regional places that do not have properties from my preferred program brands.

So many questions...

- 4 weeks to get upgraded...?!?! These are frequent travellers they're targeting....!! Crazy timeframe!
- No mention of how long status is valid for. I can see many thinking its valid for as long as you have QF status/ALL account linked to QFF.
- 1 stay to get Plat, is it then downgraded to Gold or to base level, or is it Plat so long as QF status maintained?
- For those on Amex/Accor Plus - will Gold overwrite Accor Plus? If Gold gets downgraded/timeframe, will it wipe away Accor Plus?

Feels like a rushed promo IMO

This is the same reason I signed up for ALL recently as I found that I will be doing a lot more regional travel (and the Qantas tie-up doesn't hurt, even before this Gold status deal). I prefer Marriott first (Titanium member) and then IHG ( earns points pretty quickly and not hard to redeem). But certain places just don't have those brands.

That said, this huge influx of ALL Gold's that will be caused by this promotion doesn't bode well to actually getting useful free upgrades...

I believe it valid until 31/12/23

Where did you see "1 stay to get Plat"?

I agree with the rest of your points.

Not sure what is going wrong for me, but I get this when I click on the link in my email and 'claim the gift'.

I did not get any confirmation email or so

It worked for me. DO NOT click on “link accounts” if already linked, just straight to “claim gift“. As I have already confirmed, I cannot see the same page any longer.

All the aggressive Qantas points collectors will have ALL Gold for at least a year. Ozbargain crowd knows about this as well 😅 😅.

Accor hotels have strong coverage in Australia especially in regional centres, which is why Qantas got onboard with this partnership as opposed to the US hotel chains. VA is the one that is tied up with Hilton and IHG, which comes as a surprise...

With every man and his dog now ALL gold, I think it's safe to assume upgrades and late checkouts will be minimal.
Although it seems every eligible AFFer is signing up, in the end how many actually will book hotels very often? The status is nice to have just in case. Hotel chains know there is a good attrition rate.
