Can confirm that I went from Classic Member to Gold with this offer.

Wouldn't expect free breakfast at this level but what would the 'welcome drink' usually be and do you get it everyday or just the first night?

You get 1 drink voucher per person staying in the room per stay (sometimes I've been lucky to receive 2 vouchers when travelling solo). You can use it any day during your stay, it is typically for wine, beer or soft drink, some properties may also include some basic coughtails.

Welcome to AFF.

As QF has advised upgrades will occur from the end date of the promotion, I would suggest waiting until September 12 before contacting anyone. Nice that so many have received the upgrade already; I guess they can't do everyone at the same time. I haven't yet, so will keep checking daily until the 12th.

Many will allow “house” spirits.

It seems to vary. From basic to anything. Staying as a gold at the Pullman Reef in Cairns we were allowed pretty much anything including coughtails. I had a Martini.

Stayed at the Mantry on Murray in Perth earlier this week. Have only stayed at this property once before (a single night) and had this pleasant surprise in my room.

Was only ALL silver before this offer and when I saw this in my room I checked and saw that I had been upgraded to Gold. Not sure if this was a gift because of gold or because of other reasons but was a nice touch

Mine was through points club plus and worked. Was not part of that Amex plus but though.

I’ve taken two screenshots, one saying ‘gold status is coming your way’, and requesting me to link my account. The next screenshot says ‘it look like there’s an error as you have already linked your accounts’.

So i took it that the accounts were already linked, and indeed it shows this on my QFFF profile.

Ah, there was a seperate link to accept the status gift. You may have missed out

There was some discussion up thread about other peeps getting into that error cycle (accounts already linked) but managed to accept the offer once directed to the correct link.
