I used to have a yearly membership with Qantas ...could have lived fulltime in the Singapore airport.. Then Emirates stole my heart...that was a long time ago now though

Thanks very much Melleyden. It's in 2 weeks time and will be my last holiday for a while as I go back to work after a stint in Afghanistan. AFF members are generous to a fault so keep your eyes peeled for sage advice and the odd tidbit.

Haahaahaa thank you so much. I appreciate your advice and feedback. I'm very excited about all the expert advice available as I carefully venture back into the world of the unknown... Anything can happen on the road ;-)

Well I certainly hope you have the break you need. Just the word Afghanistan indicates you have a lot going on....more than most I'm guessing. BTW Thailand was one of my favourite places and although it was difficult to get off the beaten track..I managed it and it was AMAZING!!!!!!
