Hi ALl,
not sure if i am dreaming or what.

I notice on my monthly qff email and notice my member status is upgraded to Gold from Bronze.

I havent flown qantas or collecting status point lately.
The last thing i book was a Jetstar flight from Jakarta to singapore for January.
I do have creditcard that earns qff points, wollies shoping.

But i thought you need to fly, earn status point to get the qff upgrade.

Some more this is 2 level jump and skip the silver.

Probably others have got it. But i feel special. :)

Sounds a bit unusual. Have you received an email/letter with any details?

Very unusual, I would have kept it zipped I think.:cool:

Has your anniversary date changed, perhaps you have been given partner gold if it has, be it intentionally or accidentally?

I've just heard from a colleague that he has mysteriously jumped from NB to SG also.

No such luck here.

:mrgreen::mrgreen: Ok, I am ready to be wonderfully pleasantly surprised too.

However, I too suggest a zip in it.

Sadly, I too am still non-W LTS.

Have a friend who got comp'd WP through a deal the company he works for did with Qantas to transfer their corporate travel to them

Thanks guys for the advised ....
Will keep it to my self as i have asked my workmates in my office and none has been upgraded (unless if in phases).

Can we use the lounge if we are travelling using other airlines and you have the gold status?

The status run threads are stickys, I suspect you may venture there once you have tasted gold ;)

It does happen... The one case I am aware of was after LTG was earned with AA and included a fair bit of QF flying.
If the anniversary date has changed, the normal delivery time for the SG package will apply.
And expect an email survey after about 6 months...

Oh yes, the crediting to the QF program did increase, though not as quickly as QF may have liked.

Happy wandering

Fred

Have you confirmed online status by logging in? May have been a bug on the email.

Oh Yes, another question. Will they automatically send me a new card? or i need to call them to send a new card.

Do NOT call and ask, if it arrives, great. Otherwise if it's on your boarding pass, that's all you need to gain the privileges.

LOL ... thanks for keep reminding me .... :)

But if i want to go into the lounge i'll just use my bronze card they can check if they are not sending a new card?

Thanks
