When booking a Garuda ticket (using Eco Affordable and Eco Flexible as examples), Garuda doesn't provide specific details on their rebook/refund fees, instead providing a range (see picture).

Has anyone had experience with changing dates/cancelling, and did they charge 25%, or the full 80% (for an Eco Affordable ticket, for example)?

Coming back to this two years later because I have an answer, after looking deep in GDS fare conditions. Hopefully this is useful to anyone who comes across it.

As an example, in the below image, in the Rebook section for Eco Affordable, there are three different penalties.

Penalty fee 10% - 60% before flight, 60% after flight.

The first number (10%) is for changes 4 hours or more before departure.

The second number (60%) is for changes within 4 hours of departure.

The third number (again 60%) is for changes after departure.

These three time periods seem to hold true for all tickets booked after 1 June 2023 (see second image).

Note the changes from 1 June 2023.

After encountering numerous people asking this question on various websites, I hope this can help some of the many Garuda travellers out there and remind me when I inevitably forget again!

It seems that it's changed again. Book a flight, and on the trip summary before entering passenger details you can find the purchase conditions at the bottom of the page.

For Eco Promo, the Penalties section states:
NOTE -
-----//AMOUNT OF CHANGE FEE AND REFUND FEE//-----
--------------------------------------------------
A. CHANGE FEE
FOR TOTALLY UNUSED AND PARTIALLY USED TICKET
- BEFORE FLIGHT AUD 100.00
- AFTER FLIGHT AUD 250.00
- - - - - - -
B. REFUND FEE
FOR TOTALLY UNUSED TICKET
- BEFORE FLIGHT AUD 125.00
- AFTER FLIGHT AUD 225.00
- - - - - - -
Current as of posting.

It seems to change depending on your type of ticket (e.g., for Eco Flexible there is no change fee for before flight). Best to check yourself for your own tickets.
