More loonies and this is only going to get worse

Not sure about the this will only get worse part. We've seen plenty of examples of people behaving badly here too at various stages of the pandemic but very few of these have even been sustained over a period of time, let alone got worse.

Reminders that this is not acceptable from the majority and a few fines seem to help.

Is there a consensus on which app we should upload our vaccination proof to or is that dependent on which country you're heading to? Will the Aust govt's digital certificate flow into 3rd party apps? About to get jab 2 (don't @ me but I wanted the vaccine to have a full FDA approval which Pfizer did a few weeks ago) and am just planning ahead.

My understanding. It will be an Australian one linked to your passport details and sort of separate to the current one although it accessed that data base. And negotiations underway to get it accepted overseas.

Thats sad.
Attacking a low paid worker who's probably in debt who needs a job to survive is not good. They should instead vote out politicians who have mandated the vaccination passport - would have been much more appropriate.

Got it now. Printed it out and it saves within the medicare app.

burn out amongst nurses is concerning.
If a nurse looking after a CovidPos patient, and subsequently becomes CovidPos, is the nurse covered by workers comp?.

(Not a hypothetical - actually happened)
……

We have eaten at that restaurant
Massive servings IIRC.
We admitted defeat as soon as they delivered strawberry shortcake

In the UK the NHS chiefs are calling for Plan B...some level of restrictions to be reintroduced.

Not unexpected but considering its only October, i think its going to be a long hard winter over there.

I always felt the UK was a bit gung ho with no restrictions, this kinda confirms it.

We all went to get tested on Monday. A bit of novelty driving inside an old Master's building. Never thought I'd be back in one of those! Some kid at my sons childcare tested positive so the whole place shut down and he's having to stay home for 14 days.

One of my staff had to isolate for 14 days as she attended a cafe that was a tier one site. She had been back at work less than a week before learning the person she had trained at the gym with tested +ve. So back into iso. She swears she isn't going near anyone again for a very long time.

This is going to be a significant problem moving forward.
