Three zero days in a row. But by tomorrow 800 new arrivals from India. Hope all are tested.

Husband and I were on the front deck and realised there was actually a significant amount of traffic on the main road near to us. Also yesterday heard the engines of the planes in the private jets/flying doctor area. Havnt heard them for a while

Anyone going to have a horde of non perishable in case something like this happens again ?
It has made me change how I do things. The only thing I use a lot of and can't find are the bleach style wipes. I usually have soaps and sanitisers, I have stocked up on UHT milk. Might keep up the freezer with usual meats and usually have good stock of toilet paper. And from now on I'll buy fresh broccoli and steam it myself and freeze it. So much nicer.

FWIW - I read very few of these threads but I would like to openly express my pride in how the vast majority of Australians have adhered to the isolation requests of our Governments - I am also very proud as an Australian by the performance of our Federal Govt with the bipartisan support of the Opposition and the same for our Victoria’n Govt and Opposition - I think we can all catch a glimpse of that finish line on the horizon and with continuity of what we have achieved over recent weeks we can all look forward to freedom in not too distant future provided we maintain the fight.

Hopefully though, they wont view us UK based folk as too scummy and will let Mrs FB and myself in for our Christmas trip later this year :)

Flutracker day again, and social distancing etc. continue to head flu-like symptoms generally toward zero (of course they won't actually get there)

The other promising news relates to Accident fatalities, which appear to be down in April in Victoria and NSW. The Victorian data indicates passenger and pedestrian fatalities are well down but bicycle fatalities are up - but the numbers to date are very small so very variable. The NSW data (pdf) indicates that the numbers are down for March and look like they will be down more in April.

The idiots in SA have ensured that the same fatality statistics for last year have been maintained.

But the real question is, as the weather cools down in Australia will there be an upward trend in cases? While it's not completely safe based on warmer temperatures as the number of cases have shown, I wonder if it will increase as it does cool down.

It seems to be happily spreading more and more rapidly in Brazil even though I assume it is still hot there. Of course it is being helped by the stupidity of another "strong leader'.

PS YouTuber has rubbish sterile technique/ experimental design/ safety protocols. Don't try this at home or in bunker.

It will be interesting to see the impact this has on ways of working once things return to some sense of normality. For example, I know Mrs FB often prints documents out to work from, writes on them/edits etc. but she's obviously not had that option since being forced to WFH. I wonder if people will finally snap out of the need to print docs and work in a more e-friendly way. For example, I can't think of how many years it was since I printed a document out for work purposes, choosing to just use electronic versions instead.

I really dislike working purely from a screen which I think is eye sight related. Working from home I may have my iPad, pc and laptop working as I check banking , debtor balances and credit hold releasing. It is much easier doing stock sales analysis as our software is fast and accurate. Older eyes get tired with long screen sessions.

Depends, I think, on how long the lockdown / social distancing lasts.

I find it strange "she's obviously not had that option since being forced to WFH".

I print stuff out occasionally and have no issue directly printing at home simply by sharing resources on standard CITRIX RDP or VPN connection sessions.

In other circumstances I have simply emailed myself a PDF forprinting.

As far as needing a printout, hardcopy needs no batteries to read.
