Was that the VicUni ad?
What a hoot!
Must have been a true blue Doggies supporter who posted that!? :)

Yes.

It was actually The Age's fault. They had two versions of the ad and were to select the appropriate one based on the result, and whoever did it picked the wrong one.

(I actually found out when a Blues supporter posted to Facebook this morning. I am in DRW, so have only read the Melbourne papers online).

Yes. It has been the talk of the western suburbs! :)
(I'm not there either but my extended family members have been spreading the word. Fortunately, it seems to be being taken - in most quarters - in good humour. May be one pocket of the world where that is not the case though!)

pj are you are serious Scray fan? If YES then congrats - way overdue. If only wagon jumper - still well done Scraggers.

It sure does - I / we the thinking football fraternity so happy for you and your club - just an amazing story and victory.

Agree.

It is a great story, and a very long time between drinks in the west [of Melbourne].

Go to page 7 of today's The Age, and tell me that isn't the biggest advertising fail of 2016...

Geez that is a stuff up. Pic for those that haven't seen.

Classic!!!

Reminds me of the scoreboard at Shea Stadium at the World Series in 1986 that congratulated the Boston Red Sox for winning the World Series while game 6 was still going. As any baseball fans would know, the NY Mets rallied in game 6 and then won game 7 to keep the curse of the bambino alive (until 2004).

As for the AFL Grand Final - what a day. I have been a Footscray/Western Bulldogs member for over 30 years, to be a the MCG to see us break our 62 year premiership drought was amazing. I am so proud of Luke Beveridge, the players and the entire club.

I like what Reds fans rhyme Bucky Dent with.
