Dreadful stuff. I used it once and told my skin bloke I would not use it again. He can freeze and cut as much as he likes but I will not use that cream again.
It was suggested for MrLtL who had a bcc on the tip of his nose. Given the location of the cancer and the lack of guarantee that it would work anyway, he decided to have surgery and a graft and have it over and done with. It took a while for the graft to come good but it is fine now and hardly noticeable. My mother had it prescribed once as well and it didn't work so surgery needed there. In her case it was on the top lip so quite a major job. I remember her telling me she counted 72 stitches that she could see. The big worry was keeping her mouth large enough for her to get her false teeth in :). As the nerves have been damaged she uses a straw for drinking all liquid as she can't tell if she has missed the mouth.

Mr FM still has the bigger ones cut off or frozen or whatever. The cream is a preventative almost - gets rid of all the little ones before they can even be seen properly.

The past 5-6 days have been torture. You don't need to have anything serious to feel down and it's times like these you realise just how vulnerable we are.

Does it give him very smooth skin when it wipes out all the baddies?
yes it does - bit like a cosmetic peel. :) He has so many skin cancers popping up so this works well to get rid of the early ones and then he just needs to get the bigger ones treated. He has an annual check up with his dermatologist for that.

A person I know from another hobby of mine, had a massive brain aneurysm yesterday, no brain activity, waiting for relatives to get there before switching off the life support machine. :(

He is only 58, very fit and active. Makes you realise how quickly things can change, make the most of everyday...........

There are many health conditions where lifestyle plays no part whatsoever and they arise completely out of the blue unfortunately.

sorry to hear that :(. Yes none of us know what the future holds so enjoy each day....When Mr FM had his brain abscesses, one day he was fine the next day lying unconscious on the kitchen floor. It was a big wake up call for us.

Also sorry to hear Cossie. Gives us all a dose of reality - don't put off your bucket list...

I had a 30something mother of 2 drop dead about 10 min after seeing me, from a ruptured aneurysm last year. Saw me for a completely unrelated issue and was basically gone by the time she hit the floor.

Vessel and artery rupture can't be predicted (easily) but it pays to have your blood pressure checked on every GP visit at any age....

Happy wandering

Fred

Severe pharyngitis.

Feeling better after day 3 or day 4 of Amoxil but now slightly worse at day 6. Will now try a course of Augmentin Forte with Predmix solution.

Another side effect of immuno-suppresants.

Excellent news. Has she been on it long?

Three months now? She'll be having blood tests in early April. We share the specialist and she always orders blood tests every 3 months. She is waiting to see if my niece also develops 'sticky blood' like me. I suspect she might. But an opposite presentation - she gets massive nose bleeds.
