When you had the shivering were you also sweating?

MrsProzac says no but I was hot.
5 minutes after it finished I threw the blankets off to cool off.

I don't generally get sick like this (yeah, I know all the heart stuff) and I do not like the feeling of being vulnerable. I am accustomed to toughing things out which go away.

Yes, and if rigors again get some blood cultures during the rigors but often difficult to synchronise collection.

I was a bit reticent about posting the above (sharing too much information etc) but responses have given me some informed questions to ask GP tomorrow.

I always recommend an accompanying support person to certain Dr visits. Especially when ill or for serious matters. It's impossible to think straight when ill and the support person is able to be an advocate as well

Monday last week blood works and abdominal scan for husband.
GP sends over referral to professor for immediate (?) Assistance
Results of scan and bloodworks to GP on Thursday
Professor appt yesterday
Hospital tomorrow for husband as there is an issue with his oesophagus
Apparently there can be a correlation between his brain tumour and his issues with the oesophagus
Husband would love to be able to enjoy food without vomiting
Have to say impressive how quickly this has all come together. All under the public NSW health system

Yes I gather GP and specialist are a tad concerned about husband's health. So no quibbles , no dramas. He is in tomorrow

Public health system : the more urgent the quicker the access.
It may mean the "walking wounded" gets pushed back in the waiting list. (but that is not the concern of the patient who gets to the head of the queue based on medical need)
