Didn't do anything after our Haigh tour but swim, spa and nap by the pool, so lazy but no lunch means we walked about 26 steps from our hotel to The Little Hunter last night.

Hit and miss with staff, bar staff was lovely and friendly and would happily go again.

Did you know there is a non alcoholic gin? Server made this for me after I told her I don't drink booze.

Didn't have dessert as hubby was obsessing about the hazelnut parfait at the Playford so back to the bar we go.

Had it since new.

oh… I was going to suggest that we meet at Camerons corner for a beer.. but that won't work… :-)

Yes we are waiting to hear how your birthday day went and where you went to dinner (with photos of course)

Ha. No cake or party for me but my office just had cake and flowers. 2 lots of flowers actually. Hubby hasnt bought me a gift yet because I wont take him to the store and point at something. Hes given me a $3-$5K budget but I begrudge spending that much on a handbag when last, last seasons Oroton or Coach makes me happy.

Im very low key on my birthday, I have few "wants", which is a nice place to be in my life.

Him on the other hand, meals and desserts, gentleman shave ect. We did have a 2hr massage and pedi though. Foot massage was wonderful.

But where did you have dinner in Adelaide last Friday night? Wasn't that your birthday?

 Fish and Chips for him and Club Sandwich at the Playford bar. Neither was very hungry and the previous couple of nights dinners were a bit full on. I was halfway through my sandwich when I had a, "this is my 50th birthday dinner!?" moment.

Only drank water as well - not even the fake gin stuff that night.

I was expecting a bang up meal but sometimes they are just want you want. Looks like you enjoyed the trip anyway

@Denali - just revisiting this because I'm thinking about taking a friend to see some of these in February.

I'll be coming from Melbourne and don't think that we can do them all but would like to see the pink lake at Dimboola.

Which ones would you say are the most impressive and worth going to see

TIA

The pink lake was a small drive from Horsham and theres a small parking area for you to walk down the path but on the way there from Horsham, I would suggest when you first see it, pull over for wide shot photo.

I liked the 3 that are closer to Melbourne. Lascelles was good as well but very subtle painting/appreciated it more when the light would hit the silo.

Dont forget the Stick Shed in Murtoa, they have open days but I emailed and we got to see the area just the 2 of us.

Enjoy. Im looking forward to more of these being painted.

Thanks - we might just do those three then which we can comfortably do in a day from Horsham and then head to the SA coast

Once we're sorted will check out the stick shed

Just remember it will likely be HOT.
