There's no such offer that I am aware of.You seem very confused.Which previous post mentions such an offer?

Agree. A bit confused re all the different offers

For those that didn't get this offer.
Is there a way to get this?
Reading between the lines. No you cannot get access to this personalised offer. They are in this case (ie the purchase of prepaid credit cards) unique to that person's Flybuy number.

If you somehow could access it all you would would be to generate Flybuys points for the original person.

Occasionally (and I will emphasise not in this case) people are sent personalised offers that may be activated by a PROMO Code that is not cross-referenced to their membership number. In those cases other people can use the personalised offer. Again this is not so in this case where the reward is activated by the Flybuy Card and its unique number. You cannot access it.

FYI

I went to coles today to buy 5x$100 Coles Mastercards. When I went to make payment, it would not allow me. It kept on saying it has to be processed through service desk. The self service lady was kind to put my order through on the service desk even when I had multiple small value EFTPOS gift cards and I did use a few Coles Myer GCs (all up around 7).

Are you sure of this: 'it would not allow me. It kept on saying it has to be processed through service desk. '? Or did the machine simply say 'approval needed'?

I purchased some Coles Prepaid MasterCards about 5 hours ago via a self service machine. Required the usual staff approval. I paid with discounted Coles/Myer gift cards purchased from the AMEX deals at the end of 2016. Nothing has changed with this during the entire promotion so far. Buying these Coles MasterCards at 20+% discount has been very rewarding for me.

Perhaps you live in an area with a high fraud/crime rate? Otherwise I can't think why you could only purchase these through the service desk. I don't believe that anyone else has reported a similar experience to you.

It firstly asked for approval - which the self service assistance gave me. Then It says payment full/partial. tried both options with the assistant next to me and still said to process through service desk. From WA south of river

The machines I use at Coles force you to the service desk if you try to use a split payment when buying a gift card. Both in Coles in good and lower socio-economic areas.

Yeah you can not split payment for gift cards. You need to pay the full balance.

This is not correct. I have split payments everytime i have purchased gift cards at coles both at self service and staff checkouts. Never had a problem.

Oh I see. Maybe it is only for that particular store.

Such as the 5 per person per day limit on storey policy with the one I visited, Stupid dumbarses. Really go be a police officer and catch some drug dealers, not gift card buyers.

The system can only process 5 cards at once as far as I am aware. But this is clearly different to 5 cards per day being your limits. Which is something I have not encountered.

I'm planning on buying at least 30 more cards today.

Come visit my Coles, they have a lot, but 5 per customer per day. Stupid workers and Store Manager is like a brick wall.

Well, actually the 5 per transaction limit was created after a large enough number of elderly people got scammed by the various fake email/phone call scams telling them to pay ATO (or similar) outstanding amount immediately or face a X00% penalty.

Subsequently their relatives would find out and try and get Coles to refund the purchased MCs or Vs.

So, to try and stop this fraud/scam - they instituted the 5 per transaction automatic limit which cannot be over-rode by a supervisor.

Annoying that the various Coles group divisions are not up to speed on it and keep offering "limit 10 per transaction".

True it is an inconvenience to those of us who are seeking to max the points party - but personally, if it stops some elderly person being ripped off then I do not mind having to do 2x the transactions.

Just saying...

I haven't run into a store which declined a repeat transaction this time. I don't take more than 5 up at a time then go back to pick up more.

I would LOVE to do 2x the transactions...

However the Store Manager has said no, 5 per person per day.

Saves me going back there every day and seeing their beautiful faces!

They also said Fly Buys is NOT Coles and thus they do not care about the 10x limit on Fly Buys. Because it is store policy to limit to 5 per day per person, they dont even have it written and when asked to see the policy, the public is not allowed to see it.

Lucky.. I did 5 paid for it, then went back in and the staffer (not even on the checkout) came up to me and said no no 5 per person per day. I will call the store manager.... *facepalm. These guys are so nice and helping me stop scams!! Great work!!

She even said if Im buying so many it is a business and I should pay tax on it.

Wow these people...

She even showed me the latest catalogue and on it said "limits may apply to goods sold".. wtf..

Makes me feel like I am stealing from their store

Can you go to another store?

At least they won't run out quickly :)

.
So the next step is to ask for the regional manager's email or to be phoned by the regional manager
