Might do that, too bad the two times I went was during my lunch 30min break. >.<

Can David Jones GC just be used at DJ ? or are they essentially a Wish card like the DM ones?

Can confirm the posts above re the scams. There was a financial newsletter insert in The West in the past few days, which in fact only highlighted the issue with Itunes cards. The scammers intimidate their aged targets into buying these things, and then personally come and collect the cards from them. The article also suggested that gift cards in general were now of concern from money launderers hidng their ill gotten gains. I believe not all of the blame should be put on the shops selling these items, but they should also apply the old common sense rule.

At least it isnt baby milk forumla.

We know what we are doing, we are not scamming anyone nor are we being scammed. We are working or taking advantage of a promotion.

DM is owned by the Woolworths Group. This is what allows GCs from different parts of the group to be used in other parts.

DJ's is a separate business in its own right and does not have other types of stores that it can have its cards used in as well.

Nope. DJ's are able to be redeemed online - did so today. Used a $50 gift card I purchased at coles, and paid the remaining $25 of my purchase using my Visa.
OK .Must be a change. I know I couldn't use a DJ's giftcard for payment of an online order in 2016.

Yes they can be. Though it specifically says on sites like Qantas Portal that you will not earn any bonus points when paid by GCs.

You dont earn QF Mall points with a DJ GC
The DJ cards usually take 24h to activate

I posted the question on my way out the door to chase a steer.... My quick google search showed DJ is owned by Woolworths Holdings and I thought it was worth asking the question.

The Entertainment Book are selling DJ eGift cards @ 10% off.

That's Woolworths South Africa. Not related to our Woolworths here.

I rang up Vicroads and asked if it was possible to pay in increments or split the payment. I was first told No, but then told that it could be done in person at a vic roads branch

So they'd rather me pay the car reg using 8 cards, and a persons time then me do it online?

Sometimes all you can do is shake your head.

Note, just at my local and picked up another 5. They did talk to me about the limit but were pretty good about it, I said I'll just come back morning and night and they were cool with that.

I'm probably done now anyway, $2500 worth and I try to liquidate them before statement date rolls over anyway.

Anyone got the best way to use the $88 cards for a 5k rate payment.

It doesn't have post bill pay so I can't use PayPal
It's only got its website portal with visa and Mc only

It's got a scannable barcode at Aust post.
Would this be what I scan at the self serve terminal

Obviously I can't scan 50 cards at a manned cashier.

Go to post office everyday for 50days and pay 80 bucks or variations of that amount.

Or go to 3 or 4 different post offices paying varying amounts each time

Go to a post ofice with a selfserve scanner. Will need to scan the barcode for each card. Press savings when prompted on the terminal. Get fed up being asked if you want a digital receipt
