Gift Cards at Supermarkets

Thanks, which discount is that, they weren't on 'special' this week were they?
I basically paid $21.45 for 3300 more pts which makes it $0.0065 per pt or .65cents per pt.

This to me is much more valuable than those that were exchanging $10 woolworth dollars for 870 qantas pts which is $0.011 per pt or 1.15cents per pt.
I just don't value qantas pts highly at all because I have no status and always want to book at least 2x J at once which is impossible with qantas when you have no status.

I will be buying a new Ipad mini 4 soon. Is there a a gift card way of doing it that beats the VA online mall of 2:1? (Or any other ideas?)

i bought macbook with 300/100 HN promo, managed to split it between 5 amex cards. Claimed trs as well when went on holidays.

This is not my experience. And I don't believe it is correct to state that this is 'impossible'.

I have zero status, but with planning, I have booked 8 separate trips in J using points to places like the US, UK and Hong Kong for the second half of this year. 2 x J seats booked each time.

Had to educate health insurance rep.... That when I paid via GC yesterday was saying that you can only pay from the day you pay 12months. No I paid to 31st 2017.... Therefore I will be paying to 31st March 2018!!!..... He finally let me do it!

Thats true 2 seats is possible, 4 seats is impossible for me at least.
Since i have been doing 4-5 J classes and ive never successfully booked with Qantas, i made the wrong statement.

Thought I'd share this one:
I got the $30 Rebel Sport card at Coles during the 2000 points promotion.
After posting a question in the QF Online Mall thread (I should have done my legwork first really), I discovered that these are redeemable online. I registered for the double points promotion on QF mall and will be spending the card through there (8 points/$)

Total haul: 2030 FB points (883 VFF points) + 240 QF points (probably more as I'll likely spend over $30)

However, I discovered that the card may not have been activated at Coles as the Rebel website says not recognised. (Receipt says approved, but apparently that doesn't mean activated?) Coles is looking into it now, but I'm not holding my breath. Hope it's resolved before the double points ends.

Assume you kept the receipt with the activation notice at the time of purchase?

Although I got a bit confused when Rebel said I should have received a second receipt?
I've bought Bunnings GC before, successfully used them and not received a second receipt at time of purchase.

Woolies provide a separate 'activation' receipt when purchasing gift card. Coles do not. The activation information is contained in one docket with Coles.

Coles have confirmed the card is now active. Have to wait 24 hours though. I'm impressed at their speed.
