Gift Cards at Supermarkets

I ordered on Monday afternoon and don't even have my tax invoice yet, let alone the eGC. I have called and emailed but that doesn't seem to have sped anything up.

My local Caltex Service Station only take the 5% off plastic Woolies gift cards so I buy them on RACWA site and use Amex Platinum Edge to get 3 points per dollar. I add on the 4 cents saving by scanning the Woolies rewards card. These mailed cards take about 4 days to arrive.

This has always been the case where the attached shop is a Star Mart. If it is an actual Woolies shop, hen eGCs work fine and you also earn points when scanning the WWR card.

The fuel price is actually less at the plain Caltex rather than the Woolies Caltex. The 98 fuel is around $1.40 on a Monday less 11 cents plus the CC points. I am happy with that.

has anyone used the eftpos gc to pay ato? does it work?

You cannot do it directly with EFTPOS cards like the perfect gift card

You used to be able to do it via the Post Office. But they officially do not allow it now, though I believe occasionally it may slip through at some branches.

yeah, check the ato creditcard thread, been blocked around 2-3wks ago.
a few people stuck with a few dozen in their hands

Tried to use my Visa1 cards to pay SYDNEY Water bill online. Didn’t work.

Looks like the reach of the block is expanding beyond ATO. Hope they still work with Deft next time I get my Strata notice.

I use Paypal with my AMEX to pay for my Sydney Water bill.
