So just to clarify - the Big W card can be used as a Wish card - so can I fill up at Woolworths branded Petrol stations? This is where the shop in the Petrol station is clearly identified as "Woolworths" and not "Starmart"?

Good suggestion. This is my 3rd motorcycle from this dealer and they have done the right deal in the past. As there is no trade-in it will be max points on the CC (unless amex have already discounted payments to motor vehicle dealers...lol) so good for about 45k points.

One has an apple peel on the sign beneath Caltex, the other indicates Starmart.

No way of telling online as far as I know. I pretty much only use two different Woolies branded Caltex servos. One is a Woolies shop and one is Starmart so it's not an issue for me.

Just got that email too. Yes, they can be used as a normal WISH card. The only gremlin is that they are not accepted at Woolies branded Caltex stations where the shop is a Star Mart instead of a Woolworths.

No idea on the Edge points, sorry.

SOLUTION

Go to Woolworths during your shopping and buy a WoW Wish card for full value of one of your BigW cards and use that for the petrol anywhere shopping.

If you go through a checkout then normally 100% success rate, through the service desk 40-50%.

So, go through a checkout and have something else to buy as well. Then it goes through without a hitch.

NOTE: You do not earn points on the buy a gift card with a gift card transaction though.

Makes sense, thanks. TBH though, it's not really a problem for me. I normally buy plastic cards, so will just keep those for fuel and give the e-cards to SWMBO to buy the groceries.

Hmm, apparently 7/11 can only charge $300 on VPay despite the fact the fact it says $500 on the packaging, sigh! Wonder if the IAG cards are still around.
