What's your current policy?
Depends on the importance of the game.

  • For social club I will almost always go out and play
  • If it was just a normal Saturday morning competition and the weather was really bad before starting I will more than likely not play
There are exceptions to the policy
  • If I am already playing and I am 3 over par after 10 holes and playing one of my best games of golf and lightning is flashing all over the place then head to the drink stop and impatiently wait until the lightning moves away. Unfortunately the cell doubled back and circled around 3 times but I never gave up and finished the game 3 over par and my best score ever on a par 72 championship course

Well the Bradman prize is the only prize I've ever won in a golf tournament. However already back from my 9 holes practice this morning-first game since early december-quit whilst I was ahead with pars on the last 3 holes.Even acheived a first-a good 1 iron shot from the fairway-so in the eyes of Lee trevino I'm 1 up on god.

You won't be taking out the Bradman's if you get that many pars in a round.

Even acheived a first-a good 1 iron shot from the fairway-so in the eyes of Lee trevino I'm 1 up on god.
Lee Trevino was good with those quotes.

"If you are caught on a golf course during a storm and are afraid of lightning, hold up a 1-iron. Not even God can hit a 1-iron."

"In case of a thunderstorm, stand in the middle of the fairway and hold up a one iron. Not even God can hit a one iron. "

And one of my favourites

"There are two things that won't last long in this world, and that's dogs chasing cars and pros putting for pars."

Now it is Jindalee at 10am correct?
I will be coming through from the Sunshine Coast.May be being dropped off by mrsdrron so she can indulge in her favourite pastime of retail therapy.

Weekend Weather Forecast:

Saturday Early rain, afternoon T'storm Min 22 Max 29

Might pay to put covers on the lightning rods...

Definately!

I'm watching the Johnnie Walker Classic on TV atm, and its amazing how much you appreciate the way these guys play, when you've played on the course many times yourself! The one thing I find about the Vines is once you hit the rough...... you can pretty much kiss your ball goodbye, as it's near on impossible to find!!
