But DJ has an interline agreement with Rex.I have used it flying from MCY to Mt.Gambier and Burnie.Dont have to pick up your bags.

 Where would I find details on that? I knew there was some agreement a couple of years back, but I was under the impression that that ceased. Not doubting you, but that does provide other options if it is still current. Obviously though, then you would have to look at the earning of Points / SC, although with VA SC wouldnt be an issue because of their SC earn system

You will find it on the REX website:

DJ need to focus on NTL more, they need more capacity and more destinations. Ss some of you might know, they pulled out of NTL-OOL-NTL route, so now Jetstar has all that money and pax, and no one to play against, so what do they do? Of course, raise the price. But since Virgin quit, I now fly JQ to OOL ( and i hate it). i am not going to BNE, as where I go when I visit, I only have to drive 1km away from OOL airport. JQ loves NTL due to the demand and market place they have to themselves. I think it is time for Virgin to come break the monopoly.

JQ loves NTL because its their home and maintenance base, so they need to fly planes there for work on them! They dont love it for the demand, lets stick to the facts, you need to get down to 24 in the list of popular routes before NTL gets a mention, OOL-NTL is beaten by Dubbo to Sydney and comes in at number 48 with 148000 annual passengers or 400 a day total in both directions. Capacity on OOL-NTL was 228000, so average load is 64% - not good business.
