Has anyone bought anything on Qantas Mall?

Points from DJ's, Microsoft, M&S, Net-a-Porter, AppliancesOnline. No problems at all with these.
One failure from EBay but I think I did too many click throughs

With DJ's points post pretty much 30 days after the transaction date IME.
Although with any bonus points promotions usually the additional points take the full 3 months to post IME.

Regarding David Jones purchases, have people only ever bought full-priced items from DJ's via the Qantas Mall to receive Qantas points?

Qantas are quoting these T&Cs:

David Jones terms and conditions
Qantas Points are not awarded on gift card/voucher purchases, purchases made using a gift card/voucher, items that have been refunded, taxes and delivery charges or in conjunction with any other offer, voucher or discount code unless listed on this page, or with any other discounts such as staff or student discount. Qantas points are also not awarded on all products from the following brands; CHANEL, Apple, Dior, Country Road, Witchery, Trenery and Mimco.

Tax and delivery charges are not included in customer rewards. Discounts or offer codes not provided by this site will result in members not earning Qantas Points for a purchase.

The item I purchased happened to have a sale price (something like 10% off) on the David Jones store - it was Christmas sale time, after all - and so now Qantas are investigating further, but initial indications are that the purchase is not eligible for Qantas points.

Have others ever purchased sale or discounted items and received the Qantas points?

I suspect because my purchased wasn't tracked correctly (I didn't receive a confirmation email indicating that the purchase was tracked correctly) that it would've otherwise automatically assigned the points regardless of the sale discount. However, I'd like to test this theory by seeing if others have received points in similar cases.

I always assumed that this exclusion applied to a code you applied at checkout. Cant see how they could exclude an individually discounted item

As David Jones have been discounting very heavy in the last 12 months ( new owners seeking to eliminate slow moving brands to make room for new brands) I've picked up some absolute bargains on the DJ's website via the Qantas Mall.

One example, just last month is a Men's puffer jacket I purchased down from a full retail price of $149 to just $10 ( after further discounts applied for purchasing multiple discounted items in the one transaction).
Other items were also purchased as part the same transaction, all which were discounted and the total of transaction came to $70.
Last week the correct number of QFF points appeared on my account from using the Qantas Mall, so I'm intrigued as to why your points haven't been awarded correctly.

I've never used promo codes though.

Yes
Multiple times. Points posted every time.
I think the T&C's are referring to codes not sale prices.
The purchase isn't eligible as you didn't get the email indicating your purchase has been tracked.

If this has happened to you previously (email not received), then I would take screen shots of any future purchases showing the log in etc as proof that somethings going wrong.

Thanks for providing the examples. I think it demonstrates that had my automatic tracking worked properly, the points would've come through fine without any consideration of the "discount". Now that a human is looking at the transaction, they are applying their own interpretation as to what "discount" means in the T&Cs. It's similar to the issue we often have with a Lounge agent interpreting lounge access policies differently... In this instance, I reckon I'm screwed and Qantas will have their own way.

I think you are spot on with that assessment.
