Have I been comp'd WP

Perhaps, if they still use it, the "three year average 'rule' " may kick in ...

It'll be about a month before you'd know though.

Its that last part I'm interested in, A month before anniversary expiry? or a month after? I'd like to book a fair bit more travel for 2016, but who I travel with may be determined by whether I can maintain the WP status. I already have about 600Sc's worth of travel with QF booked in for 2016.

If it is any help, I have been given a free pass from my end of November expiry date. I noticed the change in status in the first few days of November. I have 5000+ SCs over the last 3 years. I actually thought I had been comped once before, maybe my recollection is wrong, so it came as a surprise as I was fully expecting to be utilising my lifetime SC for the first time next year.

Ok thanks, I'll keep my eyes out keenly on the start of December then.

I've looked over my flights over the past three years (shame QF can't keep records that long) and here's approx the numbers:

2012: ~1,500 SC's and first year as WP
2013: ~1,850 SC's
2014: 1,390 SC's
2015: 320SC's (big drop off in flying this year)

Total: ~5,060 SC's

Someone can correct me if I am wrong but it is my recollection that the relevant 36 months for you would be January 2013-December 2015. If that is the case you'll be a little short but with time to fix it.

Wow I think I just got comped gold for another year.
This year I had 0 status credits through Qantas and 0 eligible flights...
On my Qantas account it says "congratulations you have retained gold" and I got my new gold card this week sitting there for me...
I thought to get comped, the very least you needed to fly a few times with the airline.
The only thing I can attribute it to is that I finally got around to changing my title on my various FF cards to Dr.

Anyone else have experiences of being comped without doing much/any flying at all?

As the new year ticked over, my profile now shows Zero SCs, but does show me as WP until 31-Dec-16.

Although I have read on here that sometimes that is a glitch that gets resolved in a few days time, so not holding my breath.

When do new cards get issued after anniversary dates?

Thanks, I'm yet to receive my new card, wonder what would happen if I had to enter a Dom lounge today...anyway, no point playing hypothetical.

As I suspected, it was a glitch, no comp and I'm back down to SG. Just means an extra 200SCs to get back to WP, and the decision on which carrier to earn them on.
