I don't drink alcohol . And I'm not just referring to mistake flights. I would like to know if there is anyone else who is OW emerald member who has never flown with a one world carrier. Or UA 1k preimer member . For me I don't see the need for status or mattress runs when it's so easily obtained .

Anyway I didn't start this thread someone else did so I'm not looking for hits and am happy to call it a night.

Or UA 1k preimer member . For me I don't see the need for status or mattress runs when it's so easily obtained .

I practically have been status matched from when I got free VS Gold a few years back, then matched to BD Gold, then to AF Gold, VA Gold, then when BD got bought out by BA, I got BA Gold which is OW Emerald to mid 2014. I also matched to A3 which is *A Gold and that will last me to end 2015.

I have used my BA Gold to get myself and family to QF SYD F lounge, The Wing at HKG, First Lounge at TPE in my recent trip.

The only thing is that I don't brag about it in the forum, as I think status matching is a privilege and not a right. Yes I also maximise it but I appreciate the gesture of the airlines that offers status matching.

Well to me AA EXP is not as good as BA Gold anyway as AA EXP you cannot get lounge access for US domestic travel. No problem with BA Gold. Also in terms of *A privilege, UA 1k is the same as A3, with exception of course if you are travelling UA.

By the way, I got all those status without getting on paid flight either, as most of my flights are award tickets. The only paid flights over the last few years are on VA after I already got VA Gold. Too bad QF could not give me QF Gold at that time as I would have actually buy QF tickets.
