I almost feel bad for bragging about this seeing Flashware's dilemna's but i am doing swimmingly well.. Went for my biggest walk today (sbout 20 mins) and arent doing too shabby and i havent taken any meds in 2 days. The biggest problem is with the monsoonal weather we are having i have a jungle in the backyard and we ahd a few of our friends kids help MrsGurio clean up the yard. As i was a bit paranoid about my car and flying rocks i decided to move my car and now i know why they say not to drive for 3 weeks as the twisting motion getting in absolutely caned me. Having said that im not too eager to get back into the car till the allotted time!

Hope your getting better Flashware.

Haha, thanks TG! Good to see you're recovering well. Mine's more frustrating, than anything; it's not overly painful but verrrrrrry annoying! The tape holding the gauze is starting to irritate me; again not painful but frustrating!

Well and truly sick of everyone I see (even strangers!) asking what happened! C'est la vie

thegurio, Flashware: Hope you both get back to being well very, very soon.

I remember being in PER for my contract work and needing to get one of my wisdom teeth taken out.

I had been to a clinic (viz. the UQ dental school) two months earlier that had said, yes, you should get this particular one out, but seeing as the dental school wasn't going to open until late Feb/Mar anyway I decided to wait (it wasn't painful). Then I got a sharp pain one night - to add insult to injury, it was the night before I had to move accommodations :( so I was packing then trying to sleep, followed by going to work, moving stuff all in pain before getting to a clinic after work and having the tooth removed within hours of consultation.

Main thing was that I didn't eat any solids for a week. Much smoothies, scrambled eggs and the like was consumed. Very difficult to get chewing pattern correct without disturbing my sutures. Thankfully, after the second day but still against the predictions of the operating dentist and my sister (then a dentistry student), I managed to wean off my pain killers (with codeine).

Looks like my "pain" or whatever of it very much pales in comparison with all others here.
