HI All,

We are looking at a few options for some lazy resort living for approx a week. We were looking at Thailand, Vietnam, Fiji & Bali. Trying to line up DIRECT flights through VFF rewards booking. Seaching seats.aero i can only find SYD - DPS on 7th April return on 16th. Would love to do Thailand/Vietnam but no direct SQ J is available at this stage. So, looks like Bali it is. Ive been avoiding Bali for so long due to the....reputation of others....

Looking for any tips for any 5 star resorts that take toddlers for kids club (he will be 1 year old). A few resorts through Accor ive found only take >3yr olds.
Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua apperas to accept 0yr olds but need to pay for a one-on-one baby sitter to mind them (thats fine and makes sense).

1) Has anyone stayed here able to comment on the resort as a whole?
2) Anyone specifically used the toddler club and know of apporx costs?
3) Would 9 nights be a good amount of time, aiming to stay in resort a for a few days and do nothing, and go out do some half day trips with the toddler.

Any other comments would love to hear

I've stayed at the Sofitel and a few others have too. Take a look in How does Accor treat you as an Elite guest?

I think it all comes down to what you expect and desire as to whether its for you though.

One good thing is along the beach there is a footpath and probably a dozen resorts. You can easily walk down to another resort to dine at their restaurant.

In terms of day trips....where are you wanting to go. Nusa Dua might be a bit out of the way so you might land up just sitting in endless traffic.

We had a lagoon access pool which was one of the better ones I've seen. The lagoon is secluded in terms of the entire pool doesn't look into your room.

I can dig up specific pictures or more info if you have questions.

Edit: my post about it How does Accor treat you as an Elite guest?

Vietnam is not famous as a beach destination, but you can also check out Phu Quoc island or Con Dao island in South of VN if it appeals to you.

We stayed at the Conrad Nusa dua last month in October. They have a great kids club, over 4 could go by themselves otherwise parent or a hired nanny for under 4. Nanny was cheap though the hotel about $12/hr.

Didn't want to venture out too far so stayed within Nusa dua

I stayed at grand hyatt nusa dua in February it was very good. Big pool area absolute beach front foot path at the rear that connects all the resorts. Heaps of kids around they did have some kind of club but unsure of details.
I liked it because there was an outdoor shopping centre walking distance directly across the road called the bali collection. It had plenty of restaurants cafes etc much cheaper then the hotel. And it wasn't far from the airport. As for day trips it is possible but nusa dua is the quiet out of the way resort area.
