HHonors Gold/Diamond for Velocity Gold/Plat

I ordered this on the 24th April and sent an email off last night to HH as I want to make some bookings but hadnt heard yet. Got a reply this morning saying that my account had been upgraded to gold. This is nice seeing i didnt have the account and requested the Opt in as a new member.
Just wonder how long it would have taken for them to tell me or to receive notification if i didnt ask.

I applied on the 8th of April and my HH account status hasn't updated yet!

I got it off the hilton contact us bit. There was nothing region specific so sent it to the only thing I could find.. I'll turn the computer on and did it up. Was less then 24 hours for a reply.

Just looking at the times. i sent it at 1am and 11minutes later i got a reply. Guess i got lucky with the right person at the desk.

I sent through my VFF number and my opt in date and said i wanted to make reservations but i was waiting for notification of my membership.

Very quick and easy process all in all.

Thanks for your help mate. I opted in on the 8th of April and the VA rep told me to wait for 20 business days when I PM'd them last week... I think that over a month is more than adequate time for a computer to match two things together!!! So fingers crossed!

I applied at the start of April and nothing.

Contacted VA who said I have to take it up with Hilton. I will when I can be bothered.
 
I applied at the start of April too and nothing. I've also spoken to virgin who told me to take it up with Hilton and Hilton has said to talk to virgin.

I'm at 1 phone call and 3 emails to virgin and 1 call and 1 email to Hilton. Nothing so far. Going well.
 
10 days after choosing the benefit I communicated with the Velocity Frequent Flyer representative on this site via PM, who advised me to wait 20 business days - if not sorted, they would look into it.

On Monday, after 25 business days were up I communicated with VFF again and yesterday morning I received a PM from them stating Hilton had now upgraded my status along with an apology. On checking, HHonors account showed as diamond.
 
Hi all, we are aware of an issue which is causing a delay in processing complimentary Hilton HHonors upgrades and are working with Hilton to resolve this as soon as possible. If it has been more than 20 business days since you accepted the offer, please send a private message with your Velocity and Hilton numbers, and I'll contact Hilton on your behalf.
 
I've just you sent you a PM with my details, been waiting since 22nd March!

I received very prompt service when I contacted VFF about this issue :)
 
Wonderfully quick response with help from Velocity Frequent Flyer on this forum. Upgraded to Diamond within 2 days and have used my Diamond Status to book a great deal with upgrade and Executive Club access in Abu Dhabi. Looks like I've got 12 months to enjoy the Diamond as I can't see myself being able to keep it if I need 60 nights to re-qualify!

You should have the rest of this year, and all of next year, Diamond will expire end of March 2016

Well that's good news if accurate. The offer and confirmation email stated a "complementary 12 month membership" so I assumed it would be 12 months from the upgrade kicking in.
 
I guess I can't complain as it has only been 3 weeks but I'm miffed I have a whole bunch of travel that won't get the diamond treatment or contribute towards retaining it. :(

Did you see post #530 from VFF. Have you PM'd your details?
