Credit file was received on Friday - just a bit slow in getting back on-line to post results.

I can now confirm that there is no record of CBA checking my credit file for my recent MC credit limit increase.

Amex did check though for the Rewards Maximiser card that I have just applied for (currently have an AMEX gold CC).

Hi Shano,

so just confirming that you did REQUEST a limit increase on the CBA MC, and there was no hit, but you did APPLY for a AMEX card ,and there was a hit, is this correct????

if so, I may be off to the CBA tomorrow...

Hi akumaslair,

I did request the credit limit increase for my CBA MC and there was no hit.

I did apply for the AMEX card and there was a hit.

Thanks Shano.. looks like I am going to apply for a limit increase....

I don't really need it but about 2 weeks ago, the card got maxed out and I put in $2000 just so I could make daily purchases...

maybe Sherriff can help out, my current limit is $21k, am happy with it, wouldn't mind anything up to $100k, even though I don't need it,

what limit should I apply for.... at this stage, I will take anything!!
