I hope something comes up. January sees the end of the double points, app bonus, Visa 5,000 points and Macquarie 2,000 points promotions.

Same here. I have 2 stays at HSW next week but I forgot to book on the App (but should get all the others)

What about cancel and rebook them, hopefully you can get the same room and rate ?

Why is it that a lot of hotels now days, (and IHG is one) want you to book via the app. Does it make a difference to them in any way if you book on a computer or a phone

Can't use cashback sites with the app-though they are less generous than they used to be

First booking is advance purchase and the second through Conference corporate TA, so neither able to be changed...

The prices have gone up significantly.

That was one consideration as well anyway - prices jumped more than $200 due to Conference season and Tennis, so 5k point are not worth that...

Not sure that we would know. No-one has stayed after 31 January, as yet.

It says something about completed by the 31st in the conditions. Not good if your stays goes into the following month.

I stayed a night in the Doubletree JB last week and received the 5000 bonus visa points despite redeeming with hhonors points, and waxing incidentals on my Bankwest MC (no fx fees). Has this happened to others?

I'm staying at HS on Friday and would love another pleasant surprise.

Does the Visa promo work if you book and pay before end of Jan but stay is after 31/1?

Doubt it will work as the bonus posts with the normal stay points accrual after check out not when you pay.

Thanks for the heads up. Where did you find the info about the upcoming promo so that I can watch out for a link.?

Also, does anyone know what is the normal for stays which extend past the cut off date. In this case the promo ends on the 30th April. My booking is for arrive 29th and depart 4th May (5 nights). Assuming I can register will I get only the 2 nights or will it be the full 5 nights.?

If I'm reading this right, 2000 points for every day....including reward stays if you charge incidentals to your room ...I have 20 nights during this promo so that should be 40000 points!
