My Hilton Diamond expires March 31st 2016. Wonder if i can somehow use this offer to extend my Hilton Diamond status? :)

I already have Ihg Plat and Hyatt Diamond ;) ....but I have to wait til I drop from my Hilton Diamond on 1/4/16 before I can take advantage of this offer, which probably would have ended by then...have thought of a sneaky way to try...but not 100% sure it will work :)

Probably not possible. Normally one can't do this. All the status match offers I've seen from other chains such as SPG and Hyatt, for example, say that the status match is only available to those who have not held Diamond/ high status with that chain in the last two years. But you'd best check the fine print in the specific offer.

What about an account for your +1?

Just submitted Accor Platinum and SPG Plat. Let's see how long they take to respond.

Match came through (from SPG Plat) so soon Diamond Members I will be mooching in your lounge eating your cornflakes.

Freeloader! :) :) I'll get there early and eat all the Special K first!

ps: They should also force all freeloaders to stay in a suite for 10 days as punishment!

HH Diamond :D

Oooh... nice one. I put in the same match request myself, so was just curious as to what people were seeing.
I had expected HH Gold, given IHG now has the Spire Elite level above Platinum.

Cheers,
Matt.

HH Diamond match came through for me.

For clarity I was Silver level (3stays/8nights this year) with HH and it was matched against my Platinum level Accor Leclub (22stays/40nights this year).

Received HH diamond from Best Westerns program (was top level)

I was matched from ihg platinum too. Had my HIlton gold upgraded to diamond. (For info, would have been 4 stays short of retaining gold this year)

I have applied for a status match (hopefully Diamond) for my +1 who is IHG Spire Ambassador.
He is currently HHonors Gold via the Hilton Macquarie Visa which is very handy for me to maintain Diamond as we often book alternate nights at the same hotel.

+1 is now HH Diamond until 31 March 2017.
Very handy ;).
Now to cancel the Visa card.

Perfect timing for the MEL AFF Christmas Do ;).[h=2][/h]

Got my account upgraded to Hilton Diamond from Accor Platinum (only 3 stays).

My wife's account was also upgraded to Hilton Diamond from Hyatt Diamond (multiple stays and nights).

Happy about that!
