But may I ask, what do those points actually get you? (genuine question, the program has never grabbed me)
I actually keep the hotel points and after staying in Accor for 2014 have enough for 3 nights at the Sofitel Melbourne Prestige Suite Club Sofitel for $85 per night. Rack rate $690. Taking Mrs subharpoon down for her birthday, with Qantas points business class. If I keep doing things like this for her I can get away with all my travel!

1 point = 1 qantas point if you like

10 eur = 44 points at pullman, a little over 3 points per aussie dollar. So with 4x promo its 12 or 13 QFF per dollar spent. Not bad!
The 4x promo is done at the base rate of 10 EUR = 25 points. You also need to transfer in 4000 points lots, so unless you're going to stay at Accor quite a bit, it's rather pointless to pursue this.

Ive racked up tens of thousands of avios from accor last year. Very happy with it. Not that many stays either

For my circumstances transferring to QFFP seems to be the best for now. If it wasn't for platinum recognition in South East Asia I probably wouldn't bother.

Last year had an unprecedented number of high points value promos, so it worked out well for some. And we wouldn't know if they will continue or not.

I guess though, the same can be said for any loyalty program. Hilton for example, had a boomer of a bonus point year a few years ago, but certainly of late, has been somewhat less thrilling.

I hope so. 3 months in to my requalifying year and I'll be back to WP after my next stay. That gives me 2 years of earning points at that rate.
