Given my Diamond status came from a status match from Marriott back in 2019, that seems an appropriate comment:)

and I got mine from the Macquarie card about then and from the T&C I was only supposed to get gold and I got Diamond. Now I just need to go somewhere that I can use it (apart from Adelaide)

Same, but I thought it was longer ago than 2019

It could well be longer than that and I love it's fee free for life as well

Edit - just checked and I got the card at the end of 2017

Good news - they were going to have to do something, at least for our region.

It's getting confusing though, I have 43 nights, 26 are rollover nights, so I guess I'm rolling over 17?

But Diamond already rolled over so next year's nights tally is irrelevant? o_O

Or do I need another 13 by Dec 22 to get extended to 2024?

I got the HH Diamond extension mail overnight, as well. Like a few others here, it's extra sweet in that status was initially gifted from the Macquarie Hilton Card, which was a fee-free product for me, back in mid 2018. Without more than a handful of nights, and the situation in the industry, I'll have racked up no less than about 5 years worth of Diamond status thanks to that little trick. Oh, and 2 or 3 free nights as well.

Cheers,
Matt.

You'll need another 12, to get to 42 for next year (17 rollover + 13 needed + 12 more).

How do you get the free nights?

That was from the Mac Bank card - I think it was an annual free night for $x spend? They also credited one when they ended the relationship and pulled the card, together with extending the status... so far, into perpetuity :P

Ah I remember - I gave the night to my nephew as a wedding present and he stayed in the Hyde Park Hilton in London - what a good auntie

Oh I see, I thought they'd be the same as this year (30). I guess it's gradually getting people back up to the normal levels.

Ditto for me, I got here by the Platinum offer from Virgin back in April 2019
