I have updated the list of lounges at the start of this thread with some opening times.

Is there any news on the BA lounge?

Cant make it for June but we will be in HKG 12th April to 17th April.

My flight out to BNE on QF 98 on 12 June was to depart at 2045 but I have just been notified it has been changed to a departure at 2000 hours, arriving in BNE at 0650 (+1) instead of the originally scheduled 0735 (+1). My connecting flight to SYD has remained unchanged so QF expects me to sit around for the additional time. I suppose its another lounge opportunity in BNE for breakfast.

I would call them to ask for the original connection time to be reinstated as close as it possibly can, unless you really want to have the extra 45 minutes for breakfast. Or, if you don't mind travelling on a 744 (without the new A330 suites), let them know that 2000 hours is too early as you have meetings/functions to attend to, and take QF30 at 2030 instead. It arrives MEL at 0800, and QF420 to SYD at 0930 is scheduled with an A332.

Ok, time for the fourth annual Asian lounge crawl, and we are back to HKG.

There is a new CX Pier F lounge, and hopefully by then the CX Pier J and BA lounges will be open.

Get in quick while the QF $599 HKG sale is on.

why do these things happen when I'm somewhere else? :-(

The universe is conspiring against you? ;)

Here's a free tip for you. I'd say there is great likelihood another lounge crawl will be scheduled for the same long weekend in 2017. Planning to be there as long as location is favourable.

And that location (2017 that is) will be discussed at the 2016 crawl.

im now a bronze for this sadly as my trip has now been changed to TPE instead (and on *A!)

With a democratic vote? ;)
Yes, among the 2 organisers.
The rest of us can suggest, however. Although there aren't that many ports with a good number of quality OW lounges. Apart from HKG, KUL+SIN, and perhaps HND/NRT, would anyone has any other suggestions?

And what about the plebs? We don't get a say?

But you are right. Not many choices of airports with multiple lounges. I'd be happy to alternate between the 2 or even HKG every year.

SIN has lost the MH lounge though - they now use a contract lounge. Also, the Skyview has been replaced by the Dnata lounge, and I'm not sure if it retained the unpublished OW access as per its predecessor. Skyview was a quasi-CX lounge, but the Dnata definitely isn't one. The new lounge has improved facilities but no tarmac views.

SIN may have gained a T4 CX lounge by then but would mean everyone needing to fly SIN-HKG I suspect

Although I've only read 2017 as opening not a specific date

Old rules still apply. I accessed it on a UL boarding pass + QF WP card once if it makes any difference.

On the note of asian airports with a good selection of OW lounges, NRT seems to always be forgotten. There the AC, JL, CX and QF lounges, 4 different J lounges and a JL Flounge.

Or SIN-BKK around midday. It's pretty much discounted anyway, since T4 will be extremely difficult to get into/out of as it's a stand-alone terminal not linked to any of the others.
