Yes, forecast is not good. I may need a bit of recovery time Saturday - Tonight's SQ MEL-SIN in J has changed to F tomorrow morning.

Yes, an OP UP!
How was your SQ F experience on board 777? I’ll be taking the same flight in Oct so keen to hear your views.

To those joining this year’s run, enjoy your lounge run. Please have an extra bowl of Dan Dan noodles at the CX lounge for me. So bummed that I couldn’t join this year but will try harder for 2025!

My Weekend started 16 hours ago ...

Wondering what the plan for Saturday night is. I don't get into HKG until 7pm but could meet up at the Novotel for a late dinner/supper/drinks.

Currently in Xi'an, went to Mt Huashan today, weather co-operated (has been lovely all trip, not too hot), but way too many tourists and way too long lines, and I feel about 30 years older than my actual age right now.

Landed 11:10pm 07L (a newish runway; somewhat like Changi East). After a taxi that seemed an eternity, disembarked 11:29 at gate 11 giving me 11 minutes to make the last hotel bus. Even though my Frequent Visitor Status worked (last used 2019), it was still 11:38 when I exited landside - no chance of catching the last hotel shuttle.

Took a "Lantau" taxi for HKD65, cash only ... Fortunately I had just enough (left over from last trip 5 years ago).

Sleep beckons and ATM tomorrow.
