HKG lounge crawl 9 June 2024 (the annual Asian lounge crawl)

Question for the gang - if my flight leaves at 12.50am on 10/6 (Cathay Pacific to SFO), I assume I'll be able to participate and arrive at say 3pm on 9/6?

I've just updated the list in post #2.

For those who are planning to come, if you haven't yet advised of your flights/accommodation please feel free to post them in this thread.

Thanks for updating the post.

I had a plan to get HKG but late last week it went south. I am now working on a new plan, I started the thread so I will get to HKG in some way shape or form. Pinching the words off another AFFer 'what could possibly go wrong' ;):p:p

I booked a QFF award today CX101 to SYD in PE departing near midnight, 'cuz I could.

So it's gunna cost me 6K points to cancel either that or QF30.

I wish :( awaiting a response from you-know-who!
See my post #65 above and timestamp, 'late last week' was our conversation. After some calls earlier this week my plan A is no longer an option. I am now working on getting to HKG - Plan B  If you cannot join the crawl I know/ understand your decision.

Unfortunately I will have to move to bronze.
I will be in OKA and just can’t make this work😢.
Have a fantastic time and I’ll be following along on AFF…

The in town check-in has reopened
Has it re-opened fully yet? The MTR website is still saying Hong Kong only (not at Kowloon) but more importantly - Cathay only. Wasn't relevant for us prior to Christmas, but if restricted to CX that is going to put a dampener on a number of options.

Seems not yet.

Free In-town Check-in Service
For a seamless start to your journey, starting from 1 February 2024, Airport Express passengers can use the In-town Check-in service offered by Cathay Pacific from 6:00am to 11:00pm at Hong Kong Station.
...
Please note that the In-town Check-in service is not yet available at Kowloon Station or for other airlines.

When we made the call to go to HKG we were working of the basis that it was reopening in Jul 23 (what was being reported at the time) and knew the in town check-in was only available for CX however it was thought that it would open up by Jun 24 to other carriers. In hindsight the original post should have been clearer. For those who will have checked luggage the time frame for lounge crawling maybe cut back, for those with through connections there will not be an issue, the HLO only types it should be ok as the digital BP with a QR code should be acceptable. In 2018 you could get a BP printed at the airport for a cost, from memory @Hvr did this. I plan to get a paper copy of my BP while at the hotel on the evening before, if I get there.

For transparency it was my choice to put up my hand to organise this crawl and a couple of weeks back my arrival plans into Hong Kong went south so now I am still working on a new plan to get there either on Saturday or early Sunday.
