I am going to Hobart for a family trip and was wondering if I should use the lounge passes I received from credit card to access the lounge, I read from the comment it is a really run down lounge, has there been any improvement to it since?

IMO it's not run down. It's more like a Qantas regional lounge than a Qantas capital city lounge.

Fancy it isn't. But it's reasonably decent.

The terminal isn't any great shakes either.

It's a small room with a few chairs (if you can find one), a coffee machine and a few bottles of wine. As long as your expectations aren't for more than that, go for it.

With the small lounge at HBA, I also wouldn't be surprised if CC lounge passes were not accepted in the same way that guest passes in other smaller lounges like Gold Coast are not available to be assigned.

I've been there a few times lately. It's not great but neither are other Qantas regional (and some capital city) lounges.

The wines are OK. There's free pour spirits (not available in the other capital cities), beer, a range of soft drinks, a coffee machine and some finger food options.

On my last visit, a few weeks ago in December, I went out to the terminal area for a few minutes. While the QF lounge was busy, the terminal area was absolute chaos!
