I will be in BOM first time!!!!

I will be staying there on the coming weekend and would like to know which is the BEST hotel to stay at. I got a domestic flight to catch to MAA on Monday morning so prefer to stay some where near airport. I saw few hotels Lalit, Taj but would like to get a recommendation from people who have been there before

Thanks a lot

Did an overnight at BOM a few years ago before a flight to MAA and stayed at the Grand Hyatt. It was very nice - everything you'd expect from a Hyatt.

I think the Hyatt Regency is closer, but I haven't stayed there.

Cheers.

Thanks Febs. Hotel prices seems to be very high in India. Not sure why

In my case it was before an international flight (home) & we stayed at the Emerald Juhu Beach. Comfortable & good staff & late checkout provided. Close proximity to the airport & relatively cheap were the initial attractions. I note there seems to be some huge variety in recent reviews on trip advisor.

Le Meridien at Sahar airport is my pick. Doesn't look like much on the outside, lovely inside though.

Sheraton Grand Maratha is devoid of atmosphere and owned by Big Tobacco.
Hyatt Regency is excellent, but mainly focused on business clientele.

If heading to South Bombay, then my pick would be the Intercontinental on Marine Drive.

As for the high hotel prices this week, surely you know why............
