How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

I didn't think HH did hourly!

Without screaming out loud, that's how you get a day rate...checkin and checkout on the same day. Then all you have to do is pick the right HH page that allows you to do it. Some times it can be a bonus which next time we chat, Ms Tam I'll tell about with my experience ;)!

No welcome letter, no fruits, no chocolate, no turn down.

Very busy hotel, though not sizeable rooms, comfortable with some great runway views & pleasant service in the EL.

Property: Conrad Bali
Booked: Lagoon Access King
Received: Lagoon Access King

Welcome letter, Water replenished daily, Turn down, Club Lounge Access, Free internet, Discounts to restaurants and spa.

Was hoping for an upgrade to Lagoon Access Suite but I now know it looks like there's only 10 of them, so that's fairly limiting, although I thought there was not much evidence that they were all in use. Other upgrades not possible as we wanted the lagoon access. In the end the King room was more than large enough, larger than the one shown on the photo. And with our balcony giving direct access to the lagoon were were perfectly happy. Club lounge was excellent with good breakfasts, afternoon teas and a large coughtail list for evenings.

On the whole we were happy with this choice. We have stayed at the Inter Continental previously and we thought it was a better property, but the added Diamond benefits at the Conrad made this stay extremely worthwhile. And we loved the direct lagoon access.

A bit worried after reading some discussion here and reviews on Trip Advisor, but I really enjoyed my stay and the room was great. Downside is no exec Lounge and no b'fast, apparently there used to be a Starbucks in the lobby
and HH elites used to received vouchers for b'fast but that is now closed down. Other than the room upgrade Diamond amenities were 2 vouchers for coughtails ($20 per voucher), 2 comp. waters per day, and late checkout. For the rate I paid, pretty happy with what I received.

So two out of three isn't too bad.. What happened to the bottle of vino @ BNE though.. Consistency is what irks me with Hilton.
FWIW.. I did receive that lovely bottle of red on last visit to BNE.

With due reference to my one & only totally underwhelming experience @ CNS.. I vouch to never return even at any gratis offer.
The location is desirable for the cruise jetties though.

Always nice to catch up with a fellow AFFer.

I too think Hilton CNS is a great property. I like the lounge (especially that Filipino lady who is very straight forward and VERY funny). The choice of inside or outside sits well with me and although small, is one of the friendliest around (which is the people far more than the hotel).

The CNS lounge embodies Cairns. The hotel embodies Cairns.......and I like it!

This all went as above though checkin and checkout were interesting.

JessicaTam got offered the world at checkin and I got nothing other than a welcome back. At checkout I had to have some 'serious' discussion with Pheobe (Assistant Manager) to get my Macquarie discount. I even had it written on a piece of paper and she did not seem to want to understand :!:

Not all the staff said 'Hi' when I was checking in. The guy up the end for example.

Either my chat with Ellen paid off, or my previous stays had just been a glitch. This stay was faultless, in any case. Even to the extent of getting a late checkout less than an hour before my original checkout time.

Wasn't expecting the suite at this property from the comments on here they seem a bit more hit and miss here than down south.
