When did HSW start emailing letters pre-check in?
Not stayed there since last year and will be there next weekend.
Just got an email from Exec lounge regarding hours etc and checking in there on arrival.

I stayed for 3 nights over the Anzac weekend and didn't receive a pre-stay email. Must be new, or a 'Princess' thing .

IME noise levels at HSP vary with the day of the week. Have stayed on a tuesday night and no problem at all, but on a Friday and Saturday the deep bass notes from those discos was very noticeable through until around 3.00 am. Earplugs in.

I've only ever stayed there on a weekend.. most of my travel is personal these days as work (conferences excluded) is very Sydney centric.

Painless checkin, soy in the fridge, lounge up to its usual standard, with an attendant I had not met before.

Breakfast was also as good as usual, and when I ordered my coffee there was no hint of a charge - during service or when checking out. Well done HotP!

I just had to cancel a stay at Double Tree Esplanade Darwin where I'd been upgraded from a queen room to an esplanade suite with harbour view. Spewing I can't make that trip.

Bugger, thats a nice room even if its a little dated and the two spas are handy.

I almost always get an upgrade here, and this time it was very much appreciated as I had a lot of work to do in the hotel.

The Exec Lounge staff were really friendly and helpful. Positive report cards handed in.

Exceptional as always at this hotel. Received a suite last time so the room doesn't compare however is still pretty good. Lounge is excellent. Staff attentive and friendly. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Singapore

Not yet received a suite there

But one thing is, they are constantly improving the breakfast buffet. Since November they added a sashimi station and then added a frozen yoghurt machine. Wonder what else they will get?

Really looking forward to my first stay next weekend. No upgrade showing but the Hotel has changed total cost to show same price for all 3 nights rather than an additional $45pn for Sunday and Monday over a Saturday night stay.

which hilton Mel-world? If it's Singapore Conrad you'll have a great time. Enjoyed our recent Easter stay there.

Mind you I'm in the 2 BR suite which nominally doesn't have lounge access but the diamond stuff should sort that

I like this hotel. I'm only Gold but they looked after me tremendously well. Normal night rate is also usually very very good. The hotel is certainly far from new, but the rooms are massive and quite well kept. I'm looking for an opportunity to return here.

Easy short drive from Brunei if you're ever over that way. Have done it once before.

2hrs ago I booked a room at the new Hilton Foshan. 8000pts and $50.

Now sitting downstairs being waited on in a temporary exec lounge as rest of hotel is not finished yet.

I've been upgraded to a one bedroom suite which is beaitiful...but the clincher....

I went to level 29 to check out exec lounge only to get there and see it not open yet. No worries...I'll go back down. Nope. Lifts don't go down from this high yet...ring hotel explain that I am on level 29 and stuck. Mis understanding ensures until duty manager comes up a b d leads me down the fire escape to level 21.

China. ..expect the unexpected.
