How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

I found a nice bottle of Shiraz. A big improvement from the previous wine they used to gift Diamonds.
That's the wine offering for Deluxe Plus rooms. It goes back to the McGuigan Merlot on suites though....go figure!
And the only way you can tell the it's a Deluxe Plus is the additional mattress topper, size of room=no change :(

Five night stay at the end of August. Room was on the 42nd floor and I could not distinguish it from a Deluxe room though I was told I hade been upgraded to an Executive King. Of couse, unless you get a suite an upgrade is quite meaningless here. Pleasant stay. Very friendly staff and good food in the Lounge and the usual good buffet in the Glass for breakfast. Had a very ordinary meal at Glass - tasteless steak - the first time I have been disappointed there.

It was executive room, which supposed to be better then deluxe plus (but is not).

after waiting for another car with the flat tyres i went from a caprice to a bmw 7 series

I got to the lounge for a few beers ( one at a time)

I've started getting more upgrades lately , maybe its the number of times I've stayed!

Met by the GM and Operations Manager. Lounge access, water and a bottle of wine sent to the room when my co-resident was arriving very late due to a flight cancellation.
Bonus was we got to walk down 44 flights of stairs then back up 2 flights at 2:30 in the morning due to a fire alarm.

I do have a soft spot for McGuigan. Didn't he invent the screw top? An answered prayer for travellers who's forgotten to pack a cork screw!

So lounge access is back for diamonds in the residences?

Or is there a 2 bedroom selection from the hotel side?

First stay at Hilton Singapore. Different beast to the Conrad but so far, really great. Great staff; checked in at the lounge; upgraded to exec plus room(love the balcony!) and in the lounge receiving great service and we've been here less than an hour. Free WiFi of course and 2 bottles of water in the room.

Turn down service last night (Singapore Hilton ) ..6 bottles of water left.nice touch. This morning, choice of continental breakfast in the lounge or cooked breakfast(free) downstairs..planning on trying the hot option.

My first stay at Conrad SG and I have to say I am not at all impressive with the level of service. Had the missus checked in first as I was arriving mid night. Rude receptionist questioned why the booking was under my name when I was not around at check in (I had clearly left a note + added her name on the booking). Missus called and I explained to the receptionist again of what's going on, at the same time I asked whether a suite upgrade was possible. The receptionist straight away rejected my request and asked, literally, "do you have a problem with that?"!! Oh well, I thought I just won't return again. To make thing worse, she then told me I have to present myself to the hotel when I arrived and perform the check in again. I asked why and she said to make sure I was staying at the hotel!. That pretty much just ensured I won't be staying there again!

One nice touch though, continental breakfast in room is free. Also late check out of 2PM granted without any questioning by the lounge manager.

Oh, we were given 2 bottles of water @ 250ml each. I couldn't believe that!

Decided to stay 1 night at Conrad Bali at the end of our holiday so SWMBO could add to her Conrad bear collection. Very nice upgrade and for what I paid, I was definitely getting every penny worth. Room was massive and with a great view, late check out @ 4:30pm, complimentary lounge access and afternoon tea. Overall a fantastic stay and a stark contrast to Conrad SG.

Send them a feedback and also let the diamond desk know about you experience. The behaviour of the receptionist is unacceptable, especially at a high end hotel like Conrad.

This has sparked my interesting in the Conrad Bali. Good rates over cup weekend $175~, asked the wife if she wanted to go.. wasn't too keen. It's fine to go by yourself isn't it? :)
