How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

I stayed in a couple of Hiltons recently and the free water per day seems to have disappeared - I've been given a bottle or two when I check in, but nothing else for the rest of the stay. I can't find it on the website anymore either. Has the benefit been "enhanced"?

It seems that way. Surely a couple of $ for water was one of the cheapest benefits on offer for elites?

I did my first stay at Westin last week in Maui, and was given 3 bottles of water each day and free wifi. I'm NB with SPG and it had given me something to think about regarding future hotel bookings.

The benefit has always been per stay, rather than per night. Most Asian hotels go above this but is hit and miss elsewhere in the world.

Me neither when I stayed a month or so ago.

To be honest not fussed if not provided when in Australia as our tap water is fine... Thailand, China etc are a different story!
I like bottled water when there is only a bathroom sink from which to get water. I don't fancy filling a glass from a tap that the previous occupier may have used following a bout of the "runs"!

I can't find it listed anywhere anymore for Diamond, either per day or per stay. Am I looking in the wrong spot?

It's still there. Look under status benefits and you'll find it, but I'm currently on an iPhone so I'm not that keen to look it up (but I saw it there last night)

I work in a factory.. I'm not that precious... ;)

Ah, thanks. I was looking under my MyWay benefits, not the each-level benefits.

Currently at HotP, can report that wireless signal is so much stronger today compared to previous weeks. Lounge is quite empty too so I suspect it's not just the signal strength but also highly dependent on number of users. :)
I have resorted to using cable at HoTP on most occasions. Wifi signal is too unreliable.

Stayed at Conrad Singapore for one night each way as a stopover on the way to, and home from, Europe recently.

One night stay in August (booked via hilton):

Status: Diamond
Property: Conrad Singapore
Booked: absolute cheapest room (king classic I think) - booked via hilton
Received: Centennial Suite
Rate: around $250 SGD

Received 2 bottles of water on arrival, fruit bowl, box of choccies, buffet breaky for 2 in Oscar's, lounge access, free (and functional) wifi

One night stay in September (booked via 3rd party - Rocketmiles):

Absolutely no difference in service or elite benefits, despite third party booking. In fact got the same Centennial Suite and a late 6pm checkout (and the suite was booked for that night, so they went to some trouble to arrange another room for us to use from noon-6pm))

Service was wonderful. I was pleasantly surprised to get an upgrade and elite benefits with absolutely no hassle whatsoever on a the third party booking. As a data point, I asked for a smoking room.

Anyone know if this is usual? ie. can I usually rely on my elite benefits being recognised when I've booked through a third party?

Cheers

I was looking at Conrad Sing for next June - currently showing SGD378 full pre-pay - how did you get SGD250?

That is expensive. I just booked through Hilton and that was the prevailing price at the time - I checked my records and it was 263 SGD to be exact.

Status: Gold
Property: Prague Old Town
Booked: King room (4 nights)
Received: King executive
Rate: 3200CZK (Corporate)

Received fruit platter and litre bottle of sparking water on arrival - wifi & daily water included. Excellent executive lounge staff, surprised at overall quality of English language ability with everyone in the property (and Prague in general). Also celebrated my birthday whilst at property and received bottle of sparkling wine, fresh strawberries and other fruit platter along with chocolates and personalised handwritten note from GM.

Great property, sensational staff and without doubt my best Hilton experience to date.
You have whet my appetite. I am staying at both PRG properties next month.
