How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

Gold.

Hilton Garden Inn Milan North
Base room e100
Received free breakfast and supposedly two waters but they weren't in empty fridge. Remainder is fill yourself.
Very new property, decent breakfast. Only about 100m from a metro station on the #1 line and 10min info the center

Doubletree Milan
Base room c&p (wanted e270)
Received free breakfast, and voucher for prosecco/orange juice. Relatively new property a bit of the beaten track. Tram line nearby or regular hotel shuttles to a train or metro station. Close to Expo so seemed to be some people in town for that

Property: Parmelia Hilton Perth
Booked: Queen Guest Room
Received: King Guestroom Plus

Welcome card, the usual water and a plate with passionfruit slice/cake thingy, almond chocolate and a mandarin.
The check in lady was delightful (wish I had remembered her name) and when I said I would miss breakfast the next morning she offered me a breakfast box to go which I declined as I would be eating in the QC.

Booked: Queen Guest Room
Received: King Room - Skyline River Room

My first stay at this hotel. Tried to check-in an hour early at 1pm but the room wasn't ready. Alas, received an upgrade and was pretty happy with the room. Decent size, good shower.

It doesn't feel like a 'relaxing' hotel to me, but at the price, more than happy as a place to simply sleep. Given it's location that seems like all you'd want it for anyway!

For me, if I need to relax, or feel like the extra benefits the HSW brings, I'd book it at a price premium, but purely for a place to sleep/mattress runs - DT is a winner for me!

Booked: King Guest Room
Received: King Hilton Junior Suite

There was actually a rate drop on this stay the day before we were due to arrive. Rate went down to $219. When I went to log-in and cancel the reservation I saw I'd been upgraded to the Junior suite so I left it as it was haha.

Booked a base room for my colleague too (at $219), and he was upgraded to an Executive Room. I don't know why they haven't refreshed the Exec rooms at this hotel yet - IMHO they aren't as nice as the refurbished Deluxe Plus rooms. Seems really weird.

Mind you, +1 and I have probably eaten and drank the cost of our room (OK, not quite) so no complaints here.

Comments: Best value redemption ever, service was very polished overall. DT Mel should send their staff here to better their service. Even the cookie tasted better eventhough it's a global recipe?

Received: Executive Suite

As per Aeolus' post, DT KUL are hard to fault. I arrived at 11.30am and headed to the exec lounge and was able to check in. I received a corner room as I had asked for a view. Full breakfast downstairs in the restaurant was great. They have a massive range of food from around Asia. This is still my favourite HH property.

I checked in a little early (about 1.30pm) and whilst my allocated room wasn't ready, I was soon in another. Two bottles of water in the room, plus some fruit. Four more bottles at turndown the next night. The exec lounge as usual is great, with table service for drinks - and heavy pours at that. I grabbed a quick bite from the restaurant for breakfast the first morning and was offered takeaway coffee. The second morning I relaxed and enjoyed a very leisurely spread.

As with the DT KUL above, I was escorted to a table each morning, even if it meant the front desk was left unattended. I noticed not many other guests were offered the same service. I am not sure if it a diamond thing, or they just don't want me to blunder around looking for a table. ;)

Late May- 2 nights

Seemed to still be some suites available so was a bit disappointed but didn't push an upgrade. Also got a room right opposite the elevator which is inconsistent with profile. Got two waters but no other amenities (have had bottles of wine before even with better room upgrades and I was only Gold). Note from GM. Full breakfast in Fish (best feature) and free internet. 2 drink vouchers - stayed two nights but arrived long after cut-off so only got the 2. I think that's a bit cheap. Staff still terrific. An ok stay but was definitely poorer than previous stays.

Received: Corner Sea View Suite.
Studio Sea View Room.
First stay at this property so I'm not sure what's the usual diamond treatment here but if it's anything like I've received then it's awesome!
It started from a beautiful suite upgrade which is basically two interconnecting large rooms (one was transformed into a living room) with two bathrooms and two balconies. The other upgrade was a bit more modest but since I requested both rooms close to each other this is the best they could do.
View of hotel pool and beach from balcony.

Direct sea view even from the bathroom.

Nice to see they offer local products instead of the standard Hilton amenities.

We got one complementary large bottle of sparkling water, two small bottles of mineral water, small bottle of wine, chocolates and a bowl of fruited plus personal welcome letters in both rooms! Wait, there is more.. In the suite a large fancy box of Sabon skin-care products and in the room a set of Ahava skin-care products, all free!

There are two lounges in this property, the Vista Club on the 17th (top) floor with panoramic views of the city and top-shelf alcohol (Remy Martin XO, 18 yr scotch etc.). Unfortunately, access to this lounge is limited strictly for fully payed suite guests (we were only allowed a sneak peek inside). The second lounge (where diamonds can enter) on the 12th floor is just a standard Hilton lounge, nothing special.
The breakfast at restaurant was awesome, I've never seen so many choices of cheese in any hotel. Eggs made to order off course and even warm chocolate fondant for dessert, yum! There were a few issues with the charges as described in the Hilton Breakfast thread but bottom line it was complementary for myself and all my guests (usually only for full pay stays, we were on points + pay rate).
Conclusion
One of the best Hiltons I've ever stayed at, it could easily be called Conrad and I would not notice any difference.
I've tried other hotels on Tel Aviv's beach strip over the years (Sheraton, intercontinental, etc.) and the Hilton is my favourite so far (at least until the new W is finished ;) ).

Received: Favourite Two BR apartment. (1917)

Arrived at 1105 AM to drop bags before heading into the city. Response was that of course our room was ready :!:

straitman, tried to get a room at the HSW next Wed (17th) and it is fully booked - as is Doubletree. Have given a certain Hilton Exec a call to see what she can do (if anything)...so I hope my elite status might be able to get me a room (any room) at a price that I don't need a second mortgage on my house
