How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

RE Barcelona, How inconvenient are we talking RE the location? I have never been to Spain. Is public transport close by? Cheers.

It's located outside town, walking distance to Camp Nou. You get what you pay for, reasonable 4* hotel.
There is metro station close by, not too inconvenient.

Staying in a nice hotel close to La Rambla comes with a price. My choice in that area would be Le Meridian.

It was a post I tried to delete but couldn't.
My phone was in my pocket and somehow sent an unauthorized message

Here I was thinking you had too many vino's in H-ADL Lounge and had resorted to a dialect from the croweater tribe!

Hilton Sydney
Diamond
Booked 2 King Plus Received 2 King Deluxe on 42nd floor
Good: Membership benefits extended to both rooms which was an unexpected surprise. The parents were quite chuffed by the whole experience. Wine waiting in both rooms, also a surprise because this is the first time it has happened (my 4th stay this year, 5th overall).
Bad: Elevator noise! Our room was classed as "away from elevator" yet still we could hear wind noise from the elevator. This was the first time I had experienced this. Perhaps due to being on the 42nd floor? Reading tripadvisor reviews, this is not an uncommon complaint. We actually called to complain and they offered to move us, but never called back and we were too tired to chase them up.

Did you get lounge access / breakfast for both rooms?

You should hear the whooshing noise from their relaxation rooms (room 26), it's like being in the lift well itself, not sure what's so relaxing about that. Got to say though, after quite a few stays in room #26, I have become immune to the lift noise but still couldn't get past the noise from service door creaking and banging. Also, if you have a room near the lift, the higher the floor, the better it will be as not all lifts go past those levels. 500ml St Hallett is standard offering for all Deluxe rooms but strangely enough, not in Relaxation rooms & upwards.

Stayed at HSW last night. All the usuals. And of course as I was getting in late and leaving at sparrow's I was upgraded to a two bedroom suite. *sigh*

Oh I know, hard life... On longer stays they always dump you in one of those tiny Relaxation or Yarra suites :p

I stayed at HSW as well, Relaxation suite, business as usual.... Glad to score few more stays before the final countdown.

Sorry I missed you. I think my last stay is the 20th July.

After a number of stays in Relax Rooms last year I did get used to the lift noise but it has been awhile since staying in one so will be interesting to see if it is as noticeable. My next stay which is in few nights is showing an upgrade to one. It will be stay number 50 with Sydney but due to the hotel showing only a few suites left I don't think I will get the same upgrade as you received early in the year.

How did you go with the 50th stay? Any further upgrades/gifts etc? Hope so. :p

Turned out it was only my 49th, I cancelled a few stays this month and did not allow for one in my calculations for my 50th stay. I asked a few people what I may expect on the 50th but got the "you will have to wait and see it's a surprise" so I am looking forward to the next stay. I also asked what comes next after the 50th stay. Turns out there is a 75, 100, 150 then 200. After that you are part of the furniture.

That deserves it's own thread. It'd be interesting to see what (if anything) each hotel does for milestone stays!

Keep us updated on your next stay. King Suite, chocs and sparkling was what I got. No personalised gift like 25th. HSW 50th was Moët, apartment and a Hilton power pack but that's because of the GM than standard gift, thought I've done pretty well out of both.

Hi all, any feedback on treatment at the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa on Denarau Island as a Hilton Diamond member? Couldn't see any feedback when flicking back quite a few pages however thought I would ask as I am there for a week + over Christmas this year? Thanks!

Paging Straitman to the white courtesy phone - or is he still overseas?
