How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

Hi all, any feedback on treatment at the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa on Denarau Island as a Hilton Diamond member? Couldn't see any feedback when flicking back quite a few pages however thought I would ask as I am there for a week + over Christmas this year? Thanks!
I stayed for 5 nights in March this year and was upgraded from base room to 2 bedroom apartment - also received comp. al a carte breakfast daily for 3 people. Very happy with treatment and I was only Gold.

Booked Queen Guest Room
Received King Deluxe Room (2 level upgrade)

Welcome letter on arrival but no amenity. As there is no lounge, 2 drink vouchers (4 drinks) received. Was initially told can get any drink except coughtail but found this to be wrong. Breakfast typical offering. As a Diamond also offered a glass of sparkling with breakfast. +1 didn't partake but I did. Cappuccino ordered first morning, staff remembered next morning and offered it. Had several without being taxed. Property is in a brilliant location.
Enjoyed our stay here but it doesn't come close to how we were treated at Hilton Munich.

Also received full buffet breakfast in restaurant which was great, and access to lounge. Welcome card and 2 bottles of water on arrival. Was very pleased with the staff throughout the hotel.

Thanks for the update. Staying for a week, coming up.

Was there a breakfast surcharge or is that not properly gone?

Booked: King Guestroom
Received: Yarra Suite

That's it, my last ever stay at this property which became my second home during so many visits to MEL. Treatment here was no less than amazing with an incredible 100% ratio for suite/apartment upgrades in 2016/17. In fact the last standard room I got was in Jan 2015 (I remember because it was on my birthday and the hotel was fully booked that day).

Thankfully most of the fantastic staff are staying and will work for the new owners so I will get to see them few more times after the changeover.

HSYD
Booked: Deluxe
Received: King Suite
The wonderful team at HSYD decided to surprise me with a king suite again. Initially thought it was the Master King Suite as this suite is on their highest floor but it wasn't. It was hugely appreciated nonetheless. HSW tonight (02 suite showing on OLCI), will probably just make it for last drinks, if anyone is there, let me know.

Damn, they must have given you my upgrade for my 50th stay. Stayed Sunday & Monday and received Relaxation Suite plus wine and chocolates. I felt certain I may get a King Suite but the Relaxation suite was still a nice change as the last time I stayed in one was early last year.

Our paths seem to cross quite a bit but I still don't know who you are!
I was only there on Mon night. Usually king suite upgrades only granted for overnight stay, not longer. To be completely honest, king suite is just a novelty, way too big for 1 person. The showers in relaxation room/suite are far superior. The one in king suite is the same as those in junior suite which lacks water pressure.

Usually only stay 1 night but as it was my 50th stay at this hotel I decided on 2 due to knowing I would receive a decent upgrade. They also included a bottle of wine, chocolates and card. It has taken 4 years to reach 50 stays but for some reason it feels like I have stayed here more than this.

I stayed in a King Suite last year and to be honest I found the open plan design of the other suites preferable over a bedroom.

Unlike Monday night, sunday the lounge was full with staff from other departments being called in to help. There must have been one person from each area helping out. I noticed security, front desk, magic and concierge all helping out. But then the hotel manager was in the lounge that night with guests.

Anyone stayed at Hampton Times Square North ??

Rate: Standard Room Reward (60,000 points)
Booked: Double and single bed guest room
Received: Two queen bed executive room

A nice modern property close to Angel station. We arrived at around 10am, and without any prompting the check-in agent offered an upgrade to a 2-queen bed room - the room wasn't going to be ready till 3pm but was granted use of the EL before then, so we grabbed a quick 'second breakfast' and headed out to explore the city. Decent buffet breakfast the following morning.

Was monitoring availability in the lead-up to our stay, and noticed that the hotel was fully booked for our days a couple of days out - turns out the Borussia Dortmund football team was staying at the hotel over the weekend (and Monday was a public holiday). So not surprised that no upgrade was offered, but didn't really matter as I had locked in a suite during the most recent Japan 'flash sale'. The suite was ready upon our 11.30am arrival - I was a little miffed when the check-in agent cheerfully advised that the suite was close to the elevator (my preference is high floor, away from elevator), but with the elevators on the 'city side' of the hotel, noise wasn't an issue and it was actually convenient being so close to the lifts for once.

The suite itself was great - lots of space and the floor-heating in the bathroom summed up the level of luxury for me :). Service throughout our stay was excellent, with a particular shout-out to the two Yukas who lavished lots of attention on my 4-year old daughter. Despite reports to the contrary on FT, there was no suggestion that my daughter would be charged for EL access or breakfast. And no coffee tax.

I had originally booked a standard room for 64,000 points/night and agreed to pay the hotel 25,000 JPY per night to guarantee a suite upgrade. But when the average nightly rate dropped to just over 40,000 JPY during the Japan flash sale in May, it was too good to pass up (i.e. would've been a bad use of points) so I rebooked the stay with cash.

My understanding is that Conrad Tokyo regularly offers suites at rates below their regular rooms, but even then, it sounds like I managed to snap a bargain :)

Good rate for a suite
