How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

This was not my experience as a gold member at the Doubletree Melaka, Malaysia a few months ago. They said only the room where the member stays gets free breakfast.
Ditto for me at Conrad Abu Dhabi as a diamond. Although they let the kids eat free anyway. Didn't receive any extra points for the second room either.

Does anyone know if both the rooms I have booked under my name will both get the Diamond Perks (2 rooms booked under 1 diamond membership) and earn points?

I've got a couple bookings with Hilton coming up this year at the following hotels

Hilton Osaka
Hilton Tokyo
Curio, Next Hotel Melbourne
Conrad Koh Samui

Yes they will. Diamond benefits and points for both rooms.

I was caught out by this recently as a stay in US. Booked two rooms under my name, one room I was staying in and the other was relative +1. The perks were fine for both rooms, $50 F&B credit x 2 each day, no issues. However the points/stays/nights recognition failed to materialize...

Relatives insisted they pay for their room at check out, which I thought no problems. Found out later that I needed to pay for the second room to be awarded points/credit for their stay. Apparently this also needs to be requested at the time of check in.

Can I earn Points for multiple rooms if I am paying for them?

You can earn Hilton Honors Base Point credit for up to four rooms per stay. All eligible charges for Earning Rooms must be paid together on one folio (i.e., one hotel bill) which must be requested at time of check-in.

Diamonds should be okay.

What are people's experiences with Executive lounges as HH Diamond members, in terms of can all guests is the booking use the executive lounge or only the Diamond member? What about kids in these lounges?

I can see references to "As a diamond member we had access to the executive lounge" so I assume it applies to everyone, but I guess I'm asking specifically if this applies to say a family of two adults and two kids, or is that pushing the friendship?

Well I paid for both but still never got the points for the second room. I booked a room for 2A and 2C. It was actually the check-in guy's doing that our booking became two rooms. He said I'd get two lots of points and so split it in some way. Pretty sure I paid only one bill and our room was an inter-connecting one. We got a welcome gift of wine and reeeaaalllly nice chocolates in each room through.

No issues at Hilton Hiroshima for us on a single room booking for 2A and 2C. Treated real nice there as a diamond.

Property: LXR Umana Bali
Booked: One Bedroom Tropical Garden View Pool Villa
Received: One Bedroom Partial Ocean View Pool Villa

Impressive resort. It was recently reflagged from Banyan Tree to LXR and completely refurbished. The villas are massive and they paid a lot of attention to details both indoor and outdoor. One bedroom villas currently cost around $AU1,200 or 85k HH points. When staying 5 nights the cost drops to 68k which is an absolute bargain for this place. There are also two and three bedroom villas for larger families.

We stayed 6 nights and the place was not busy. Most guests were couples and some families with small children. We were told September is expected to be rainy but so far the weather has been perfect, warm sunny days with low humidity.

Service was impeccable. Most of the staff retained from Banyan Tree which is known for high standard of service. They really go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and comfortable.

Can you say/find out what facilities are there for toddlers and 4-5 year olds by any chance, boomy?
Kids club? Activities? Cost etc? I can email them of course, but if it’s obvious at all that would be great.

There’s a kids club which looks very nice actually (sorry no photos) and I assume there cater for toddlers as well saw few families with little ones at breakfast.

Nice! Would love to see some pictures around the resort/main pool if you get a chance.

Commune restaurant where breakfast is served and also casual dinner. Breakfast is a la carte and buffet.

The main mode of transportation in the resort.

IMG_7938.jpeg

Main infinity pool. There is shallow area for children and deeper one for adults.

IMG_7940.jpeg

IMG_7945.jpeg

The pool bar.

IMG_7937.jpeg

Oliverra bar and restaurant. This is the fine dining option with either set menu or a la carte. There’s also 50% off drinks and canapés for all guests every day between 4-6pm.

IMG_7942.jpeg

One of the hotel cars will take you down to the beach upon request (about 5 minutes drive). LXR has its own area there with chairs, umbrellas and towels. There are some popular beach clubs and restaurants around.

Since it’s an all villas resort most guests don’t use the public facilities much. Apart from breakfast time and occasionally at dinner we barely saw the other guests. We had lunch and dinner in the bar/restaurants few times but also used GrabFood (similar to UberEats in Australia) to order meals from outside.

Looks like a fantastic spot and excellent use of points.

Take it up with Hilton. As a lowly silver last Christmas at the Hilton Osaka I paid for 3 rooms on the one folio and got the points for the 3 rooms.

It's more than a year ago now @drron, which probably means I've missed the boat. Not that I would relish that challenge either. Based on your posts, I'd rather have a car accident in Japan than have to deal with HHonours. I do have to spend about 49k points at some point.

I here you. Although I earnt about 60K points for that stay Hhonors sais i hadn't earnt enough to retain silver. Finally got it after arguing for 3 months.
I then thought I will get to VA gold in February 25 so don't need silver anyway.

Interesting, I've recently had positive interactions with HHonours after filing missing points/stay/etc claim.

The post above where I had issues with the second room booked under my name, I actually didn't receive credit for my own stay either, all booked under my name. My first claim was for my relatives stay, the reply back was that because the stay wasn't paid by me, I was not illegible for the stay credit. Referring to the T&C's this seemed correct, so I sucked it up as my mistake.

Second claim was for the room I stayed in, paid for by me and booked via the app where no stay credit was awarded. Received the same generic response saying I needed to have booked the stay through the app (I did) and have paid the room via a card in my name (which I also did).

HHonours reply:

Hi snabbu,

Thanks for reaching out to us regarding your recent stay at the Conrad.

To receive Hilton Honors benefits, the stay should be booked using your account. You also need be staying and paying for the room at check-out. The stay does not confirm you as the paying guest.

If you have any document that differs to the above mentioned, please share and we shall validate.

Thanks for being a loyal member.
My reply was basically that I booked the stay via the app and paid for it with my credit card. I explicitly asked what other "document" did they need to confirm this?

The following day the stay points/nights/etc was manually credited to my account.

Oh, any idea if you fit 2 adults and a 4 and 2 year old in a room?

My reading is that you would only need 17,500 points. What part of that was a blocking issue for the good folk at HH?
