How do you store your wine [+ Fridge/Cabinet recommendations]

Anyone have any experience with Husky wine fridges? Prices are decent but have read some reviews saying that there was some larger than expected temperature variations and they were much louder than the competition. Others say they've had no issues. Otherwise I'm looking at Liebherr or Vintec, but of course the prices are much higher

I can't comment on the others, but I had a Liebherr previously and it was excellent! No issues, held the temp well, low energy usage and whisper quiet. I wouldn't hesitate to spend the money again on one.

I have my wine (only ~8 cases worth) in a Kennards private cellar, but am moving to Perth for 12-18 months . Am looking at a managed cellar option which would allow me to get a few bottles shipped across as needed, and serve as a delivery point for wines that I buy while I'm over there.

I'm based in Sydney and it looks like the two best options are Wineark or Cellarit. Very similar pricing and storage facilities, big benefit of Wineark is that its 10 mins from home rather than 40. Does anyone have any experience with either of these managed cellar options?

Unless you're planning on sending your wine in a refrigerated reefer, you don't want to bring wine across to Perth in the warmer months.

What a great thread. I recently started getting into wine and my collection has quickly exploded due to lockdown boredom. Now trying to decide on storage. Some good tips here to consider!
Meanwhile, one of my best mates is a furniture designer and just built this for a client... talk about a life goal!

Decided to buy a 35-bottle Vintec for all my top-notch drops and store the remainder in a secure underground locker here in my apartment building (I bought a temp & humidity monitor on Amazon to keep an eye on them).

Also downloaded the VinoCell app to catalogue my collection. Anyone else use it? It's quite good - lets you record all the key info, see the breakdowns (regions, varietals etc), make notes, and much more. Costs $14. Recommend.

Looks neat. Similar idea to CellarTracker.com but would appear much smaller database but slicker UI. I do like the cellar/wine fridge representation though.
