How does Accor treat you as an Elite guest?

Just received a package including plastic luggage tags, leather key ring and a plastic sleeve too. The thing is i didn't re-qualify this year.

Got all excited, but the website says my platinum membership runs out at the end of February.

Any idea what is going on??

I got both the Moleskin and luggage tags. I think if your status overlaped into the New Year you get both. My Plat ended in Feb.

Is that Thamrin CBD or Central Park? I checked google maps but I could't see Grand Hyatt close by. We've booked in for the Sunday buffet in a week and very much looking forward to it.

there

Status: Accor Plus Platinum
Room booked: Standard King Room.
Room upgraded/type: Premier Executive Floor Suite
Rate: Advance Saver Rate approx $145 AUD
Free internet: Yes .
Welcome drink: Coupons for two drinks. Did not use.
Early check in/late out: Arrived around 7.15am. Reception said they had no rooms available but we could go to the Executive Lounge and they would let us know when a room became available. We had breakfast in the Executive Lounge and left around 8.15am as we needed to be in the Taipei by 9.30am for a tour we had booked. Late checkout was not required.
VIP treatment: Best I have ever had. A half bottle of French red wine, cheeses, biscuits and choclates.
Access to executive lounge (if existing): Yes. Had breakfast on arrival which had a very good selction and evening drinks and food. The Executive Lounge is on the top level of the Hotel (9th floor) and has great views of the runway.

We were flying China Airlines from Brisbane to Vancouver and had a 17 hour stopover in Taipei. Booked a one night stay. After our tour of Taipei arrived back to the hotel to see we had been upgraded to an Eexutive Suite. Were able to have a sleep and shower before checking out at around 10.00pm for our flight to Vancouver. Free shuttle between the Airport and hotel which takes around 5 minutes. The shuttle is on the 1/2 hour. The hotel also adjoins a MRT Station which makes it easy to get into Taipei. Will book a room again for our return flight from Vancouver.

Welcome drink: Yes - drink at the restaurant. We went in the morning and they said the bar was closed/not open yet, so I sampled their breakfast juice selection. Guava juice was nice.
Early check in/late out: Asked for late checkout, but was told not available due to lots of bookings the next day.
VIP treatment: Sort of, if you count being told off by a staff member for waiting separately to the main line at the priority welcome sign for Accor members (First "There's a line over there" and when we finally got to the desk "Sorry we served the other line first, there could have been Accor members in that line too"). Put through some feedback about this experience (via a survey that came up when we first logged into the hotel wifi) and got a missed call about an hour later from an unfamiliar number. Returned the call and left a message, no further contact was attempted by the hotel other than the reception telling us that they had received the feedback when we checked out.
Access to executive lounge (if existing): No
Additional care: Apart from what I described in the VIP treatment, we got some heart shaped chocolates in the room.
General comments: Not sure how priority welcome is supposed to be an advertised benefit, it seems to be less useful than even the Qantas priority queue?

Early check in/late out: N/A Arrived late Saturday night and had to leave early Sunday but was asked at check in if late check out was required.
VIP treatment: Bottled water, Free mini bar ( soft drinks and juice only )
Access to executive lounge (if existing): N/A
Additional care: Daily newspaper as requested
General comments: Normally stay at the Pullman but changed booking to Mercure as it was close to airport with the limited time we had in Jakarta. Only around 10-15 minutes from airport and think I found a little gem. Connected to the PIK shopping mall through internal doors and the mall is very modern with a heap of retail stores and restaurants. Located across the road from a street packed with restaurants and a golf course. The suite was quite spacious and had a very comfortable bed and was valued at $250+ a night so we were actually upgraded 3 levels above what we purchased. Nice bar and lounge area with a great buffet breakfast. Good choice of Western and Asian dishes, pastries, fruit and excellent coffee. Asian spice bar and egg station that according to Mrs Jase did great omelettes and eggs Benedict.
Will definitely return as Jakarta is our go to gateway these days with excellent award availability and quite decent J prices onwards.

Early check in/late out: Arrived after midnight so early check in not required. Was offered late check out until 2pm which was great.
VIP treatment: Staff fantastic, priority line worked well on arrival and check out. Basket of fruit and churros in room on arrival. Staff on executive floor were amazing and went out of their way to make us feel at home.
Access to executive lounge (if existing): Yes
Additional care: Staff helped arrange a scooter and additional tours at very good prices
General comments: Have stayed at the Sofitel previously but thought we would give the Novotel a try. Very happy with the stay and it’s a nice hotel in a pretty good location. Short walk to war remnants museum and plenty of shopping and eateries. Nice sized room with a view out over the city and most importantly a very comfortable bed. Nice pool and gym area albeit with no views from the pool area. Very extensive buffet breakfast catering for all needs (who doesn’t enjoy pork belly for breakfast) Coffee was probably the only let down for breakfast as it was pretty poor. Good executive lounge with a small but nice selection of food and beverages. Breakfast in the executive lounge had a limited selection but was very good and much more peaceful. Would definitely stay there again.

Room upgraded/type: Yes, upgraded to Corner Suite with terrace
Rate: Stay longer and save, approx $175/night
Free internet: Yes
Welcome drink: Yes - 2x free spirits and mixers
Early check in/late out: Was offered but not required
VIP treatment: Executive floor check in with great staff and upgraded several levels. Fruit platter with chocolates and hand written welcome letter from GM in room. About 20 minutes after getting to room we heard a knock at the door and staff gave us a bouquet of orchids and a vase with yet another welcome letter.
Access to executive lounge (if existing): Yes. Comfortable lounge with great views and a pretty large selection of food and beverages.
Additional care: Would have to say the best staff I’ve ever encountered anywhere not just Accor. Complimentary shuttle bus to and from airport and on arrival whisked to check in on executive level where the staff went well out of their way to make our stay great. Evening buffet and free drinks were superb and even when the staff came to advise us the lounge was closing soon they offered to make us some free drinks to take back to the room. Yi who was on duty when we first arrived was great to chat to and we had mentioned a few things we had planned for the coming days and to our surprise the next morning she had written a list up in Vietnamese with English translations to show the driver and as a local she had drawn up maps and directions to her favourite eateries in town. Unfortunately she wasn’t working the day we checked out but the day before she presented us with a personalised key ring she had made up at one of the local markets. Such a kind gesture and we were sure to give the appropriate feedback to the GM.
Breakfast was great at the restaurant aswell as the executive lounge and all in all just a great stay. Wouldn’t hesitate to return there

Corner Suite, great views

Early check in / late out: 1pm checkout assigned prior to arrival.
Exec Lounge: Yes.
VIP treatment: Lots of waters, turndown service, newspapers, welcome platter of a new style of sweet. Welcome note a first in a while.

Lounge crowded both nights. Service good but fellow guests not quite so (pushy, loud - very unlike this lounge). Breakfasts good in the main restaurant. Well looked after by familiar staff.

Good spa session and room service options better and still pretty good prices.

OK stay.

Club Lounge: Yes purchased in rate with excellent service

Additional Care; Received tickets to the Terracotta Warriors exhibition. We were going to see them on this visit anyway so a pleasant surprise. Staff in the lounge were very attentive & engaged well. Generally lounge service has improved from previous visits. Drinks table service or free pour, cold food / snacks from buffet & hot food / coffee to table (Nespresso coffee machine gone). Yasmin told us she is wanting to introduce a Cheese trolly as well. All in all an excellent stay and if the deal is right will take the Club every time.
