@jase05 as a Platinum did you receive breakfast at Mantra Mooloolaba Beach?

If so, where?

The cafes with which the had room charge arrangements have slowly gone bust. The last one, was Lemon and Thyme but it has closed too I think.

Sadly, no breakfast.
Plenty of great cafes within a 2 minute walk so wasn’t too fussed

Received free coughtails and ( more ) chocolates at bar- during the 5-6pm service. Used the free drink vouchers for additional drinks.

Pretty impressed with the service and hotel. Parking is valet only, and you access by Elizabeth St, which is signed access to Busses and approved vehicles only. Ubers were a bit hesitant to access.

Property: Mantra Aqueous on Port
Status: Gold
Room: 1 Bedroom apartment
Upgrade: No
Internet: Yes, worked fine but their ISP (Broadband Solutions) routed all traffic via Melbourne, so video calls were a little laggy
Early Checkin/Late Checkout: Not offered, not requested
Welcome Drinks: No
Executive Club: N/A
VIP Treatment: Welcome gift of sparkling water and sweets

Spent four nights here, very solid 4* self-contained apartment with fully stocked kitchen. Overall excellent value for Port Douglas at $151 per night compared with $300+ for a room with kitchen at Peppers. Would stay again. Location was perfect - just off the main street, 5-10 min walk to almost anywhere in town, and private underground parking. Communal pools, bbq facilities and and private spa on balcony were excellent.

No onsite bar or restaurant but plenty of outstanding options less than 50m away - such as Sparrow for coffee, Zinc and The Mexican for dinner, and Jimmy Rum's Mixing Lounge for coughtails. Points/status nights posted very quickly after stay. Only negatives were a pretty uncomfortable couch and no room cleaning/towel service unless staying 8+ nights.

Property: Breakfree Royal Harbour Cairns
Status: Gold
Room: 1 Bedroom Garden
Upgrade: No
Internet: Didn't use it
Early Checkin/Late Checkout: Not offered, not requested
Welcome Drinks: No
Executive Club: N/A
VIP Treatment: Zilch - no recognition whatsoever.

Free parking here is a definite plus given the central location, spots are first come first served. Other than that unfortunately not many good things to say. The building and rooms are starting to show their age, bed was uncomfortable, kitchen not really usable for cooking (excessive signage about sensitive smoke detectors and $1200 fire alarm call-out fees yet no rangehood/exhaust fan) and very awkward bathroom window if you're staying with anyone other than a partner.

Highly recommend this property if you enjoy watching what's going on in the kitchen while you take a spa.

Free internet: Not sure it was not offered it and I don't need it.
Welcome drinks: Yes, 1 voucher for house beer/wine at bar for both of us. Had to ask about them as were not given them automatically.
Early check in / late out: Asked for late checkout and the latest was 11.30
Exec Lounge: N/A
VIP treatment: A 600ml franklin bottled water with a welcome card.

Since it was my second stay with them, last stay in December, it was a welcome back card with the water.

Front desk staff had recently started and were still learning the ropes. No status recognition or mention of an upgrade but was pleased to find the room was a higher category than booked, and much larger than expected.

Huge space with view over Supreme Court complex. Decent work desk in bedroom, separate bath and shower, well stocked kitchen with full size fridge. I believe this property was used for quarantine previously and would've been perfect for that use.

No issues to report so far other than a TV remote control that could do with a good clean.
