How does Accor treat you as an Elite guest?

Nice, my first choice when staying in Cairns, ive stayed at that property close to 50 times, and never had that room. The other junior suites, have a seperate bathroom and toilet.

Have to say, as an ALL Diamond member for just over 12 months, theres no different treatment between Plat and Diamond, and certainly wont be going out of my way to retain it.
ThanksmMuppet 501. Sorry to say it was my first stay( to tick some ACCOR boxes) - usually stay at the Hilton

After recently reaching Accor Plat, my new card arrived today. I’ve not used any of the others and doubt I’ll use this one.

But included was a set of headphones. Nice.
I attained Plat in July and all I got was an envelope with a letter and a Platinum card in it. Was I supposed to receive a gift? Assume you live in Australia.

Come to think of it, I reached Diamond shortly after and haven't received a new card.

For my first flight since Jan 2020 and first time outside of Qld since then we went to Tasmania. This was third time lucky with this trip rescheduled once due to COVID and once due to work.

I was excited to stay at a Movenpick Hotel and also at Hobart’s first premium Accor hotel.

Property: Movenpick Hobart
Status: Gold Accor Plus
Room booked: Superior Room.
Room: Deluxe Room (1 level upgrade, I think Deluxe rooms are on higher floor, a little bigger than base room but not significantly larger).
Rate: Accor plus flexible including free night
Free internet: Yes.
Welcome drink: 2 vouchers, redeemable for any wine available by the glass. I didn’t ask about other options but was happy with this.
Other: Received welcome plate of chocolate with handwritten note. Hotel management called me before arrival to check if I needed anything and offered to make reservation at in house restaurant.

There is a Movenpick Hour each afternoon with free treats available in lobby and option to book a paid chocolate experience.

I tried the free treats once as I was walking past at the appointed time. I wouldn’t go out of my way for this but they were nice enough to go with a tea/coffee in my room. I can’t comment on the paid experience.

Hotel restaurant was good value and had a reasonable range of options. Main course portions were very generous. Had a good selection of Tasmanian products including wine and spirits. Breakfast was good with decent coffee and leaf tea on offer. Apart from one dessert (affoghato) there were no Movenpick options on the menu but perhaps they save this for the chocolate experience each afternoon.

Overall, I was happy with our stay and am pleased to have a decent Accor option in Hobart.

Really excellent stay, room was in the converted silo section and had a great “feel” to it with stunning views of the river. Staff were amazing throughout the stay and dining options were quite good. Breakfast in the Grain restaurant or in room and was ordered from menu. Restaurant also had good views and a nice outdoor section.
Free underground secure parking.
Have not previously stayed here but will definitely be back and is our new favourite hotel in Launceston. Newly minted Diamond and first Accor property we have stayed in since the transition and co-incidence perhaps but staff acknowledged the status and upgraded us two room categories

This is quickly becoming my favourite hotel in Australia. Fantastic every time.

Property: Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge
Status: Accor Plus Diamond
Room booked: Spa Suite
Room upgraded/type: No, fully booked by the Irwin clan 🤣
Rate: Flexible, $650/night
Free internet: No WiFi or TV in rooms
Welcome drink: 2 drink vouchers for basically anything at the bar. Bottle of wine and very tasty Tassie platter in room
Early check in/late out: Asked for 1hr late check out and given 2hrs

Fantastic stay here once again. Rooms getting a little tired but lovely to sit by the fire and relax. Staff were wonderful and only too happy to offer assistance. Breakfast in Highland restaurant was ok without being great but meals at night were absolutely amazing and so much better than previous visit thanks to a new head chef with some new ideas and menu. Booked about a month out and tried for the King Billy suite but no availability and even tried checking weekly for any cancellations without luck. The whole Irwin tribe was there on their annual visit and were a delight to converse with.
Weather was terrible Saturday so spent the majority of it relaxing by the fire but a stunning Sunday allowed us to partake in a few hikes throughout the park.

Third stay here and excellent once again. Upgraded to deluxe King but not quite as nice views this time but still good view of harbour. Staff amazing as always and go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. Superb meal in Tesoro restaurant and breakfast was fantastic. We like that the breakfast is “all day” as some days we just want to sleep in after a big night and stroll down for a late breakfast.

Room upgraded/type: Yes, Standard Room 2 Queen
Rate: Corp rate
Free internet: Yes, worked well
Welcome drink: 2 drink vouchers
Early check in/late out: Late check out 1100>1200 granted.

Stock standard Novotel which shares facilities with the Mercure across the road. So if you want the gym or lap pool you use the Novotel. If you want the lagoon pool, bar etc you use Mercure.

Breakfast is also served at Mercure and was very nice. Buffet still closed but the a la carte breakfast options were good. Be warned the “big fella breakfast” is massive. A buffet on its own really.
