Welcome gift: Yes, small plate of fruit.

Small rooms, but excellent family offer meant everyone has a comfortable sleep rather than getting somebody to sleep in a sofa bed. The price of $210 AUD for 2 rooms per night is great value, as it is only 5 tram stops to Munich Central Station and 7 stops from MarienPlatz which is Old Town

I didn't expect much from Ibis but with their Family Offer it meant I only paid $160AUD for both rooms per night. Location is great as it is convenient with metro + multiple tram lines around the corner. Happy to stay there again in the future.

Free internet: Yes
Free Breakfast: No
Early checkin/late checkout: not required
Welcome drink: Two vouchers
Welcome gift: Bottled water and some chocolate bars in the room

Spent six nights here, very convenient location (across the road from Gloucester Road tube station) and located in a pleasant area of central London. Hotel seems to have been fairly recently updated and the decor has a London Underground aesthetic. The room itself was fairly tight, as expected, but sufficient for our needs. Bathroom also small and not really anywhere to place toiletries - a small shelf near the basin would have been quite welcome. Staff were pleasant enough though it was quite busy when we checked in and there is no reception desk to speak of - staff use high tables in the lobby as a sort of hotdesk. I suppose this saves space but it's a little chaotic. Overall reasonable value for the price we paid, and I'd probably stay here again.
can I ask what it cost for the 6 days - if you'd rather not say you can PM me - thanks

We were having a staycation for Mr Seat 0A's birthday. I sent an email in advance because it was a special birthday and on check in was given a bottle of wine "for the birthday boy" - and then when we got to the room there was another bottle with a handwritten card saying happy birthday. That was pretty nice as I had asked them for a macaron - which is what they gave us a couple of years back!

The drinks voucher said it was for 1 drink per registered guest. This is what it always says, in my experience. When we went for the drink, the bar tender insisted it was only for the Accor Advantage member, despite being shown the wording. The tried to justify by saying that some people were listing a lot of registered guests and scamming the system. Would not be moved by pointing out it was only 2 of us, in a room for 2, both registered, and that's what the voucher said. Shrugged and paid for the extra drink. A few minutes later, another staff member came over and gave me a drinks voucher, with no dates or hotel details filled in and said "have a drink on us another time". That was very nice, but I don't know what it was all about. Anyone else having issues with the welcome drink?

It was a very pleasant stay. The hotel is conveniently located. The decor is getting pretty dated, but everything was clean and working. Check in very fast. Check out was understaffed, so just did express checkout, and everything on the bill was correct.

I find with accor it is hit and miss. Sometimes Im only given 1 drinks voucher, other times 2.

I always state 2 people staying in room even if it is just me, because the price is the same so think I should get 2 drinks (as im using less water, towels etc than if two stayed).

Have a booking for 4 adults (in two rooms) this week will be interesting to see if I get 1, 2 or 4 drinks vouchers.

Ive been told previously that normal protocol is that vouchers are only given for the one room but I’ve had plenty of stays where I’ve booked two rooms and they have received a welcome gift and drinks vouchers. I think it’s up to the managers discretion but I’d consider it a bonus I’d your other room gets the drink vouchers

Guess I better add a note that its my Dad's 80th and see if that swings anything

That would definitely help.

I hope so cause last year at CP Hobart (IHG) they only upgraded one room and gave my posh welcome chocolates to my folks (i noted it was their 50th Wedding anniversary on booking, even though it was 52nd because they missed out during covid lockdowns).

I've found them quite receptive to this over the years. For example, little happy birthday cakes, a plate of macarons, a couple of extra drink vouchers, and this last time 2 bottles of wine. Definitely worth an email in advance. If nothing eventuates, then nothing really lost.

In my experience most hotels will extend benefits to two rooms (I think it's actually written into the ALL T&C) but my record is at Novotel on Collins Melbourne giving complimentary breakfast and drink vouchers to 7 rooms under my name 😂

Welcome drink: Yes, 2 giant glasses of château ordinaire at the hatbox bar.

Big price for a late booking, but hey, free bananas and apples. Room was a shoebox, but checked the roadmap on the door and it was indeed one of the biggest rooms. The regular rooms must be matchboxes. Dinner and breakfast from a Frankie and Benny adjacent, with a connecting door to reception. Nice staff at reception. No voucher for wine, just a 'come back down and see us'. The high price is because this hotel is on Praed Street, right across the road from Paddington station.

Was there a lot of noise from the street?

I didn't realise there is no breaky in Europe. This is right near our London office and last time I stayed at the Hilton as a gold which got a free, but average breakfast. I didn't love the Hilton, but this doesn't really seem like an improvement either :/ From memory there is a second Mercure just around the corner too.

Only a couple of ambulance sirens with the hospital nearby. Dead quiet otherwise but we were on an upper floor (perk?). The windows are triple glazed.

IIRC Outside APAC free breakfasts only for Diamond on weekends.

Property: Novotel Murray St, Perth
Status: Accor Plus Gold
Room booked: 1 * Standard Room with King Size Bed + 1 * Standard Room with 2 Double Beds
Room upgraded/type: None, but given adjoining rooms on 15th floor
Rate: ACCOR PLUS MORE ESCAPES, BED AND BREAKFAST $179 per room per night (a luxury escapes deal being matched for Plus members)
Free internet: Yes, a bit slow but useable
Free Breakfast: Included in the room rate, standard full buffet with barista coffee included.
Early check in/late out: Room available on arrival about 4pm, late checkout to 1pm offered but not needed.
Welcome drink: Yes, FOUR drinks vouchers for us - one free drink for each of us due to being gold.
+ 4 more vouchers good for 1 drink per person per each night stayed as part of the more escapes deal.

But both types of vouchers were limited to use on a basic menu which offered only chardonnay, Merlot, Sparkling, 2 on tap beers, soft drinks, juice (orange, pineapple or apple) and tea or barista coffee.

So each person scored 5 free drinks.

Welcome gift: Yes, both rooms received: a box of 3 macarons (underwhelming), 2 * 300ml bottles of water (replaced daily) and a bottle of Merlot (from NSW, not even WA), which of course is the one type of Red I loathe so Dad and Sister took it home.

Being a late afternoon arrival we were able to check in straight away, it was a little slow as they did not have the drinks voucher's (all 8 of them ready to go), so she was hand writing out the entitlement.

Rooms were compact but comfortable, walk in shower with rainfall head, plenty of shelf space in bathroom for toiletries and block-out curtains that left no gaps, plenty of powerpoints including usb sockets on each one. Generous hanging space with real coat hangers not hose annoying ones you cant take off the rail.

Not much of a view but very central location easy walking distance to everywhere we needed to be.

Breakfast was standard buffet with toast (including gluten free), pastries, muffins, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs (or poached, fried or omelet cooked to order), hash browns, grilled tomatoes, baked beans, mushrooms, pancakes, juice, plus fried rice and congee. 1* Barista coffee per person included. No complaints except coffee was fine 2 morning and undrinkable the other two (must have been different barista).

The onsite restaurant menu looked nice but I was travelling with fussy easters so didnt get to try it as most of the meals designed as share plates.

We didn't hear any noise in the room, but got back from a visit to the Pinnacles about 9:30pm on Saturday to find "The Magnet" nightclub throbbing and cops stationed out front of the hotel. Couldn't hear anything once in our rooms but next morning there was a nice puddle of blood outside so must have been a fight at some point.

Unusually there was no ability to view the invoice on the tv or do express checkout. I'm used to Novotel's placing invoice under your door on morning on checkout so you can just leave if no disputes.

So I went down to lobby about 20 minutes before I had booked my uber pick-up to find a huge queue at least 10 in front of me and no priority line, moving very slowly (it was last day of the school holidays). Got to the front just as my ride arrived, handed in the key cards was told all was good but didn't have time to wait for a printed invoice, they promised to email it.

Next morning no invoice had arrived, so I call up and request it. They only send it for one room not both. But i noticed that room has been charged for some drinks. So i call back to dispute the charge, turns out some of the "more escapes" drinks which you had to sign for so you only got one per day had been charged in error. They reversed the error and sent new invoices plus got an apology call from the manager.

Comfortable, convenient and well priced but reception is disorganized.
