How does Europcar treat you as an Elite?

Not wanting hi-jack the thread but how does one get from Privilege Elite to Privilege Elite VIP? Not that clear on the website? I'll be moving up to Elite in the next couple of weeks I suspect.[h=3][/h]

Spend more money and hire more cars! Once there don't expect anything different from the junior staff but the mature ones recognise status! Family member has not auto upgraded on numerous occasions

Oh if you return the car damaged a couple of times you reach VIP very quickly......

No it isn't very clear, but under Privilege Elite description it says....

Rent 15 times more with us and you will reach our new top tier: Elite VIP!

So I'm guessing that is the only way, 15 more rentals once you reach Elite, I've been wondering if a 15 day rental will give VIP to us or is it strictly 15 rentals. Seems strange they have qualifying for all tiers via either rentals or days but then just mention VIP as rentals in a rather off the cuff sort of way. I too am getting close to elite. I was entertaining the thought of using the VA status match to get elite then just 15 more for VIP but I decided that may not occur anyway so I've saved the VA match for when I drop down again with Hertz.

Changed my booking from Golf to A180 Mercedes for the weekend in Cairns...it was only $30 more...

I'd pay $30 more the Golf.....personally. :shock:

The A180 was a sludgebox. Unimpressive. It had under 10K on the clock and the engine warning light kept flashing. Good to see some things never change (My +1 used to own an A160 and it was possibly the worst car we have ever had).

Can you try and keep it clean and when you top her up before returning, if you have a second can you just check the tyre pressures for me ? ......they may hand me the keys to it on up there on Wednesday.

Anything 9th floor is good. They rarely give a suite upgrade in my experience.

None of that good old FNQ love going down in Adelaide ...... book full sized (Passat) got a fully size Passat ............. Desk in terminal friendly cheerful ....... Desk at pick up point errrrr.not so good. Cars OK but less low 4000 number on the clock.

I'm having to do a high number of 'pain in the cough' retro claims of late .......... 'Not happy Jan'

Agree. I've got about 5 retros in and another 3 or so needing to go in for VFF points when I get time. On top of that, my AUH rental from early Jan doesn't even appear in my Europcar account (6 nights I want towards tier qual) and that retro claim has been in now for over a month and no sign of anything happening.
